I read it for a school project, it might be drier then I remembered, but I had a vivid imagination, loved the images of a society going through a dark period... Loved the Stand by Stephen King too...

I see that the illness in literature genre is one that I have barely scratched the surface of.  I don't think I've read any Mann.

I read it years ago in Italy on a vacation. First part was with a group, then a week alone... A hundred years of solitude would have been more fitting, but I liked it a lot. Am a fan anyway, meant it as a tip!
