I've been looking for a good system for portability and good sound for my jobs I work on.

Yeah, our big system was well under $1k; just a receiver and speakers. We stream tunes to it from out 'puters. Works out great for us.

just an update to my earlier update

yes: performance, profile and price

no: the manual controls are on the back of the right speaker

looks like the updated version has the contolio on the side (which is where they should be)

this is just a suggestion for those in the market

right now klipsch has the tried and true promedia 2.1 thx on sale via costco for $99

that's a really nice price (i think i paid like $250 for that rig when they first came out)

i ordered and sent one as a surprise gift to my son who happens to have a need

yeah that's a klipsch speaker (on a stand) from that set up

were hand me downs but holy cow they're rock! Amazing sound and surround that almost matches Dolby Atmos.
