pardon my self indulgence

I don't know the reason why I seem to need a release
I can't stand to beg for favors like a child on his knees
But I won't go on a minute 'til I get me some peace
On the road to Armageddon

I done things, I'd be ashamed to see in black and white
There are times I miss distinctions over wrong and right
But I'm gonna get an answer when I get there tonight
On the road to Armageddon

It's the wrong world
I must be on the wrong planet
I been checkin' it out

It's the wrong world
I must be on the wrong planet
I been checkin' it out

It's the wrong world
I must be on the wrong planet
I been checkin' it out

It's the wrong world
I must be on the wrong planet
And I know what it's all about

Mr. and Mrs. Universe in their cabin in the sky
She's a little bit of heaven, he's one hell of a guy
And like all suburban couples, they may have a spat
But that is that it's back to normal and it's your night to feed the cat

Let us raise a glass and we'll drink a toast
And the devil will dance with the holy ghost
And the good and the wicked, the strong and frail
They will all join hands at the end of the world

Let us raise a glass and we'll drink a toast
And the devil will dance with the holy ghost
And the good and the wicked, the strong and frail
They will all join hands at the end of the world

Let us raise a glass and we'll drink a toast
And the devil will dance with the holy ghost
And the good and the wicked, the strong and frail
They will all join hands at the end of the world

It's the wrong world
It's the wrong world
It's the wrong world

I got to meet Todd today at a CD signing at Barnes & Noble in Manhattan. I was late due to work commitments and the event was over when I got there. I've been a fan all my life and was thrilled to finally say hello and shake his hand.

Agreed. Todd's AWATS first side is as great a series of tunes as Yes, Floyd, Zep ever put out at that period. Holds up fine, still.

Then there's the Healing album, and the NearlyHuman/Second Wind pair - especially the brilliant ode to being plain old happy with his existence, as wonderful a meditation on existence and purpose as anything out there...

Todd had a renaissance with the Nearly Human/Second Wind albums. I saw both shows and count them as some of my all time favorites. Most of his current touring band came out of that period. Change Myself is one of his best songs and would be a great addition to the RP collection.

Also a big fan. I've always wanted to go to one of those Todd Fest fan weekends but they always seemed far away. This one just a bit farther, 3,000 mile or so.

It would be nice to hear some Todd on RP. There is very little in the library and I think I've heard him once in all the years I've been on here.
