I have gone a few times, but the heat is always so oppressive, it's hard to stand it. Two yrs ago I left because I couldn't get near the portos or the water, but I think they fixed it last year. It's a good one mile walk from North Stage to South Stage, not for the feint hearted.

I attended the second one that headlined the Chili Peppers, that is one big old dropoff from Jane's Addiction (who has always been one of my fav all time bands) to the Peppers, still pisses me off to this day because as expected the Peppers sucked ass. Oh and Pearl Jam, but at least it was when they only had songs from their good album Ten so they were acceptable. At least Ministry made the whole thing worthwhile, they rocked!

I'll just say Pitchfork and Lollapalooza were off the chain this year!
Highlights: Pitchfork with LCD Soundsystem, Pavement and Big Boi Lolla with Soundgarden, Phoenix, DEVO and Gogol Bordello
and a lot more.
The feeling of joy during those sets was indescribable.

Even had a some gospel this morning with Doc Watson and friends. Best show of the festival was Scythian, who rocked a dance tent like I've never seen a dance tent rocked before. I mean WOW. My new favorite band... Also great (and new to me) were Cadillac Sky, Nation Beat, and Sonia Leigh + Levi Lowry. Elvis and the Avetts very cool.
