I have a 13 year old daughter. Much to my dismay she was a big One Direction fan (thankfully growing out of it). Some of her friends and other neighborhood girls were Justin Bieber fans. There was a constant "war" in person, and on Instagram (or the few social media outlets I allowed her on) between the "Directioners" and the "Beliebers". Who was better, who is cuter, who had a better fan base, this past week has reminded me a lot of that. smile emoticon
In the "Grateful dead tour veterans 1980's" group..... referring to all of the infighting about the upcoming Fare Thee Well 50th Anniversary show............

From a high school friend: "Before 9/11 I thought of my own atheism as more or less an idle intellectual passion, sort of like being interested in prime numbers. A sort of fringe fascination that would forever remain socially unpopular. Today again I'm reminded that opposition to bad ideas is FUNDAMENTAL and ESSENTIAL to the future health of civilization itself, and to the continued flourishing of our species."

"I bet I can poop on that." "That's nothing. I've already pooped INSIDE that." "What about on that over there?" "Yep." "How about in that thing over there?" "Done." "Well, I pooped all over this thing." "Dude. That's where we eat and sleep." What the mice are up to when they're not helping Cinderella get the Prince.
