I miss my sister who died recently. Yesterday was her birthday. I feel sad for my other sister - her twin. They were, of course so very close and I'm sure she is really feeling really bad now.

Wonder if its the same one you have taken pics of a few times around there. As a naturalist at least you know its a beneficial critter but I agree about the indoor thing.I wouldnt be sad though.
Seeing a black rat snake in my basement this morning … first time in 20+ years one has gotten into the house. I’m not afraid, or phobic, I just don’t want it in the house.

I buy two lovely bananas. I Put them on the dining table. I wait until they're way too overripe to eat. I throw them out in field for the skunks and possums. I buy two lovely bananas. I hear that, broswollen. My knuckle knots and twisted fingers hurt like hell these days. They (the government doctors) want me to take poison for the arthritis. I'd rather hurt than take that crap.
Yeah no way. I just jab more bum salve in there and grit my funny bones together. Ok plus Ibuprophen lol I've been accused of loving my suffering but it's just not true. I have to go the way that seems right. I have a stone in my soul and I have to make this pearl in the way only I can. "What is this nut talking about?" one might ask. "Yes" I answer. "Most definitely yes"...

It's indoors/outdoors. Everything from wool-craft stalls to shearing and herding competitions. Normally people come from as far away as Western Australia but state borders are mostly closed now and anyone returning from the East has to quarantine. I imagine there are some people stuck. Delta is really effin transmissive and we are trying to get back down to 0 community transmission. Very different from the US but we have only lost 907 people to covid.
And no there aren't enough people vaxed because the federal government screwed the pooch on that one. We are at 12.5% fully vaccinated.
They wanted to rely on Astrazeneca because there was a promise to start manufacturing it here and it is less expensive. They ordered a little Pfizer too. At first the AZ had a lot of production problems and Europeans were hoarding it. Then the rare blood clots showed up leading to ever-changing advice on who should get it. Right now we are using AZ for people over 60, which means there is a huge shortage of Pfizer. And the medical advice is to wait 12 weeks between shots. Speeding it up reduces the effectiveness against the delta strain. A lot of older people aren't getting vaccinated because of the concern with clotting (which pisses me off).
Didn't acquire enough Pfizer when they had a chance, then tried to have low-level bureaucrats negotiate with them when countries like Israel had the prime minister making multiple calls to the CEO. Some business people asked one of our ex-PMs to call the company and see what it would take to increase our supplies. He contacted the government before and after and told them what was going on, making it clear he wasn't negotiating, just kickstarting the process. He copped shit for it but it did get things going.
/rant off. Calm down, haresfur and look at some sheep.
isn't this held outdoors? too cold/winter weather?
seems like there would be enough people vaxed and masked to pull something like this off

The sheep and wool show planned for the coming weekend is canceled for the second year as we enter a covid snap-lockdown. It's a really big deal for the farming communities.
