One of the best blues songs ever, performed by one of the most unique bands ever, at one of the most revered venues ever...  I present Jethro Tull's Stormy Monday, recorded in 1968 at The Cavern.   I'm a big Tull fan anyway (the folk stuff, not the heavy metal stuff) but this is a deeply soulful, early tune that just moves me...     all my jiggling bits love dirty blues tune.

The Blasters song a few songs back reminded me of this band, the Red Devils, who shared Bill Bateman as drummer.
Great LA based blues band from the 90s...loved catching them at the Jack's Sugar Shack and other venues.
These guys put it all out there, every night.
Sadly, lead singer/harp player Lester Butler is no longer with us...loved the effect he got singing into the harmonica mic:

p.s., noticed rhythm guitarist Dave Lee Bartel, who at a time i think also played with the blasters, is not at this show.

A long forgotten album.  Wasn't my cuppa tea back when but I can sure appreciate it now.

Found this little nugget of an out take from the sessions and can hear the moment when and where Clapton changed or added this particular sound to what was to come.  Hear this over and over in Clapton's riffs.
