Exactly. Atheism is not a belief, it is a non-belief.

How do you feel about this soldier that went off the rails after serving 3 tours of duty and killed all those Afghani people? Should he be executed?
Instantly. He is a faulty human brought on by brain injury in courageous military service, nothing but heartfelt sympathy for what his poor family must be going through.

It's sometimes painful to read the hateful words of a bunch of self-proclaimed moralists and pacifists who slam the One that's lead me through so much pain and suffering in my life. And yeah, I know... if I didn't want to read it, I shouldn't have clicked the link. But in my effort to maintain respect and appreciation (certainly also to understand more) for certain personalities' beliefs that I've come to enjoy reading from here, I did. I guess I'm just going to have to delete this bookmark, leave and simply enjoy the music from a stand-alone player.
Bash away, atheists. A certain Christian here is certainly trying not to disrespect your beliefs but you should know that some of your words hurt and I, for one, am offended. Thanks, "intellects".

There are a select few here who believe that if you're not of the same beliefs they hold, you are indeed intellectually inferior. Conservatives, Republicans, and Christians frequently fall into their field of fire.
Of course I'm not exactly innocent, as I enjoy targeting the truthers, the misogynists, and those who believe animal abuse is okay. Gotta draw the line somewhere, right?
would that be a straight line or do you have some ziggin and zaggin going on?

There are a lot of us who walk the line between atheist and agnostic too. I think there is something else beyond our physical senses, but I am reluctant to ascribe conventional descriptions of 'God' to it. And I also think it is possible our spiritual experiences, including paranormal activities, are constructs from our unconsciousness. We are discovering new things about our brains every day, like the placebo effect, for example. Our brains may know things we cannot process on a physical level. Maybe I'm a Jungian in that respect, I don't know.

I don't really care what people believe in, sometimes I wish I believed in anything! If people want to believe in fairy tales, and it isn't hurt me, what do I care.
