Anti-Semitic? You mean anti-Jewish, correct? You are not trying say to anti-Arab, are you? Do you view Arabs as sub-human?
I strongly doubt that Tlaib is anti-Jewish. I would fully expect her to communicate and sometimes collaborate with Jewish Peace activists, both American and Israeli. I would imagine she has extensively read Bad Jews like Noam Chomsky. Many of the best informed critics of the Israeli ethnic-cleansing campaign are...... Jewish.
Incidentally, kurtster, do you approve of delivering death threats to 'Bad Jews'? Have you ever done that?
As for the BDS campaign. Reverse the illegal annexation of Jerusalem, stop the flow of illegal settlers, and do something about the Hilltop Youths because you really want to avoid being labelled as brown-shirted thugs. It is not good political marketing. Just a friendly hint there.
Do all these things, seriously undertake 2-state negotiations and the BDS campaign will grind to a halt.
For hours on Thursday, the number-one trending topic on U.S. Twitter was Israel; the most prominent hashtag, â#BoycottIsrael.â This is extraordinary. As a digital journalist who has written on Israel-Palestine from time to time over the past five years, I can tell you that coverage of the conflict typically attracts relatively limited reader interest in this country. It takes a strong, U.S.-centric news hook to compel American news consumers to pay events overseas much mind. Together, Trump and Netanyahu provided BDS supporters a hook so juicy, the latterâs preferred topic has become a major social-media conversation.
To call the BDS a consumer boycott is disingenuous at best. The goal is to bring down the Israeli government.
It is no different than the isolation of South Africa in regards to Apartheid.
From The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement works to end international support for Israel's oppression of Palestinians and pressure Israel to comply with international law.
It is OK Kurtster, I understand your need to conflate and lie and make up things. Been watching and listening to anti-Semitic, anti-democratic, pro-Jewish, ethnic-cleansing terrorist supporters do that for over half a century.
I watched it poison American politics. It is interesting to ponder how Israel's territorial ambitions will be a major contributor to the decline of American hegemony and all the privileges and efficiencies that went with that.
Well it looks like Tlaib will get in to visit her 90 yo grandmother who lives in the West Bank. Tlaib petitioned the Israeli government to let her in promising that she would not promote BDS during her visit. Cooler heads have prevailed.
Waivers can be granted for diplomatic figures, however, Haaretz reported. And in July, Israelâs U.S. ambassador said the country would not bar U.S. lawmakers out of ârespectâ for Congress and Israelâs longtime âallianceâ with the U.S. Trump expressed frustration about the decision last week, The Washington Post reported.
On Thursday, before the formal denial, Israeli Channel 13âs Barak Ravid reported that, according to officials, Netanyahu had been considering allowing Tlaib and Omar to enter Israel, but only to travel within the territories controlled by the Palestinian Authority.
I'm not vouching for, saying i support them, or whether they have unsavory support, and i certainly dont blame just israel for the issues with palestine, but...BDS goal is to end israel oppression of palestine, and have israel obey international law.
It's a matter of timing. Yes anyone who favors the BDS boycott can be prohibited entry (even Roger Waters), but that could also have been done a while ago for those two. Perhaps it is just a coincidence but we all have our own hunches.
Even the powerful lobbying group The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC, who brought 50 or so Congress members to Israel a couple of years ago) expressed their disapproval of Netanyahu's decision.
Yes, it is my conclusion based upon seeing various clips, long clips, of them speaking and also examples of their written statements as well. I have a hard time seeing them as friendly or even neutral in any sense towards Israel. They want Israel gone, not in existence. Or have I missed something along the way ?
You may have missed something...or added something. Have you ever heard either of them express desire for the elimination or eradication of Israel? One could speculate that they may harbor such thoughts but I have not heard either of them express that. I agree, I know that neither of them are particularly fond of Israel - specifically the administration presently in charge, but most of what I've heard or read from them are things like a desire for a Palestinian homeland and an end to expansion in Gaza, a single-state arrangement, an end to the apartheid-like state, cutting back of US funding, etc. Of course they've made several other statements - some of which could be considered outrageous, or at least just plain ignorant. Anyhow, of course Netanyahu can deny them entry into his country, though there may be consequences for him doing so in their upcoming elections. Even the powerful lobbying group The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC, who brought 50 or so Congress members to Israel a couple of years ago) expressed their disapproval of Netanyahu's decision. The main thing is that it all came from a tweet from Trump which accused Netanyahu of "great weakness" if he were not to obey Trump's behest.

There's a huge, tremendous difference between disagreeing/opposing an oppressive gov and the people of that nation, or the right of that nation to exist. Clearly they are against the actions of Israel in oppressing Palestinians, but there has been no evidence of the latter.
Not everyone agrees with their policies, and hate is a very strong word.
These women have never declared themselves enemies, that's your determination, your opinion.
Me? I'm all about people standing up and speaking up for what they believe. I admire anyone who can stand up fiercely and fight for their truth, whether or not I agree with them. It's the, "I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees" mentally that proves warrior strength and determination to effect change.
That's my 4cents. Besides, Trump has done way worse.
For decades.

The sky is falling !! Heavens to Murgatroyd !!!
These ladies are long declared enemies of the State of Israel.
Why should a country let in people who seek to undermine it as a sovereign nation as these ladies have made quite clear over the years in many public venues and forums ?
I did not use the word "hate", you did.

“MIFTAH worked hard to organize a well-rounded visit … in order to facilitate their engagement with Palestinian civil society and to provide them with an opportunity to see the reality of occupation for themselves,” the group said in a statement. “This is their right and duty as members of Congress, who oversee US policies and actions that affect Palestine, Israel, and countries worldwide.”
Nothing wrong with them being interested in the plight of the Palestinian people, just seems like there is not much of anything else they are particularly interested in.
Well, that stuff isn't juicy sort of news stuff about them that supports the Fox News narratives about them.
I don't watch Fox, but I apparently don't keep up with the day to day activities of Oman enough to have made such a blanket statement on her. Mea culpa on this one.
