And erase all history of both names it's used in the forums and song comments. I'd like to see this topic only appear on the RAFT in the spirit it was intended. Don't forget, it's been the Holidays and Bill might have had more important things to do than fumigate the forums. That's all I have to say about it. Anything else just gratifies the sickos self interests.

Yes, she could put the "main nerve" into words. I only rarely PM'd her, but, I am betting, like many, I had insights from her comments, and yet didn't really know her. It is certain that she is part of RP's DNA, and will be for along time to come. Edit: Leslie, you are always welcome in my "e-house" anytime. Stick around if you can.

Cynaera Posted May 12, 2011 - 14:46 in song comments for Faithless — Reverence I'm surprised! Most of the rap or hip-hop songs I've ever been exposed to are loaded with profanity and defiance, but this is its own genré. Gentler vocals, a more positive message, and yes, very hypnotic. I like it. (I'm waiting for someone to stare at me and demand, "Who are you, and what have you done with Cynaera?!")

However, a troll is always out to get a response, they don't care what kind of response, be it adulation or brickbats, it's just provoking a response, being noticed is what they crave. And so I suggest that we revert to the wonderfully uncoordinated response to it's earlier postings when we collectively ignored it completely, right up to the point that it fouled a memorial thread. Hard, but we can do it.

I saw your name come up in the raft under this very particular thread, and was going to PM you about feeding trolls, but having seen your wonderfully succinct post, I don't think I need do so. A bloody good job, well done. BTW, still owe you a PM about ISIHAC.

Cynaera Posted Mar 08, 2011 - 18:05 in song comments for Allman Brothers — Dreams I'm not an old white guy, but I love this song. Whatever comparisons are made, I don't care. I just love the Allman Brothers, and this is an amazing jam. I can close my eyes and be anywhere - driving down a long stretch of two-lane highway with no cars and only the sunrise in my eyes. I can be at the top of a mountain, with the clouds below me and the snow brushing my face. I can be on a sandy beach with white sand, sunshine, and the sound of a ukelele in the distance. I can be anywhere, doing anything. This song takes me to those places. The Allman Brothers' music always does that to me. Okay - you drink your white chai tea or sniff your glue or whatever else you might do to get inspired. I listen to the music of RadioParadise, and it keeps me alive and motivates me and inspires me. I love RP. Shutting up now.

Cynaera Posted May 10, 2011 - 12:02 in song comments for Uncle Tupelo — Moonshiner So - okay, this is a Bob Dylan song, but he paraphrased some words I can remember my mother reciting to me whimsically when I was a little kid in the late fifties: "I'll eat when I'm hungry. I'll drink when I'm dry. And if a tree don't fall on me, I'll live 'till I die." Now - to quote my favorite Portland band, Dirty Martini: "It's only music... and all you are... is a song..."
