  • I would just like to point out a critical flaw in one of the reviews I read above. Copper is not just used in almost ALL industrial and personal alcohol stills cause its "triditonal". That's abserd. They use it because they break down poisonous and nasty flavors created by the fermation process of the mash.
  • With that said polished stainless is far seperior for essential oils and ethanol/gas. Because we don't drink it.
  • As far as say moonshine it is inserperior dew to it leaks nickel into our finish products and fails to remove any toxins. The more copper you have the better your spirates will fast. As far as led goes find a still that is one piece or has stainless connectors.

"...I also found it works just as well as a sailboat costume for Halloween! It can also be used to carry a bunch of apples stolen from you neighbors backyard, It can hold all of your friend's popcorn and drinks at the movies, and (if the need arises) it can even be used to catch your vomit before it stains a really nice carpet at a party."

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure musical pleasure,May 23, 2009

Initially, I was torn between ordering the Grover-Trophy Plastic Kazoo (Standard) and ordering this Grover-Trophy Metal Kazoo (Standard). After a lot of soul searching... and a couple of sleepless nights... I decided it would be a good idea to pony up the additional $1.35 and go with the Grover-Trophy Metal Kazoo (Standard). After receiving my kazoo in the mail a couple days later, I knew I had made the right choice. When you hoist this fine piece of craftsmanship to your lips, you know you're playing a quality instrument. I have spent the last three weeks mastering "Afternoon Delight"(by Starland Vocal Band)arranged for kazoo. I now find myself on what I know will be a lifelong musical journey... I owe it all to the Grover-Trophy Metal Kazoo (Standard). Buy this product. You won't regret it.

I imagine those reviews are generic ones for the product and not the ones that specific seller is selling.  Those machines were only ~ $25 - $50 years ago.  What's odd is there are other sellers selling them for hundreds of dollars as well.
* edit: I do see there are other stores selling some Sony microcassette recorders for $100. +, but still...Maybe they're collectibles or something.

some of the reviews are from ca. 2003, but the one I quoted is from 2014. It and some others made it clear that it was both A) Tech that their bosses were comfortable with and 2) they wanted the physical tape as some sort of evidential talisman that a jury or other legal entity would accept as authentic, where an MP3 might not be.

I am switching to the digital age w/ a Sony Digital Recorder, so I won't have to deal a mechanical problem in the future, plus it transfers all recordings to "MP3" files, which is so much easier. I will keep the Microcassette Recorder though as it is good for permanent records.

I have mixed emotions about this handkerchief. Although the material is soft, I'm guessing that something with a tighter wound fabric would be superior for wiping up my little messes.
