I came scampering into this forum because I read it as "Fetishism: Catch the (Third?) Wave!"

Imagine my disappointment.

Women Candidates Made Historic Gains in 2012 Election

Most of the heroines (heros?) of first-wave feminism (Emmiline Pankhurst, Mary Wollenstonecraft, Lucretia Mott, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, etc.) won fame (and notoriety) for insisting that women were as capable as men, and deserved equal treatment.  Often overlooked, but equally deserving of recognition, were those pioneering women who demonstrated by their own actions that women could be the equals of men.

Lillian Moller Gilbreth was one such woman.
