...youtube itself is a good place to gather videos you like into a theme set.
Agreed, but I am getting good material this way.
Time was, every airline pilot sounded like Chuck Yeger from West Virginia. Something similar happened to singing after Bob Dylan, reinforced by a royalty system which pays singer/songwriters more money than singers or songwriters separately. Profit driven music has the same effect as profit driven medicine, lots of unnecessary procedures. Finding the good material takes effort and cooperation.
Try the Beta site... so far, all functions are working. If you do a text search, it can take a long time if the text string is obscure.
The search by topic works well on both sites.
But there are no tags on all these youtubes. The the url's are just numbers, which is why I add the artist and song names. Maybe someday a spider could crawl though youtube and get some useful information on all these videos?
You lost me... the RadioParadise text search function is slow, but what's that have to do with YouTube tags? And of course youtube is indexed ... Google owns it.
I guess wishing all youtube videos shared here had some RP-searchable tags so you don't repeat yourself or others' posts is a good idea, but youtube itself is a good place to gather videos you like into a theme set. I'm pretty sure you can share that set here, too. But really, sharing 2 or 3 videos a day, nevermind 6 or 8 or more is a waste of your time, unless you're only doing it to gather them up for your own viewing later. Because no one here has half an hour a day to listen to your songs when they're here for RP in the first place. So you should either curate these lists on YouTube or just pick one a day or one a week to share here. IMO.

Okay, we've all pretty much learned (not me, obviously) to weather these times when someone decides to create a dozen new threads a day and make hundreds of random posts so we know that you'll eventually figure out that you can curate channels etc. on YouTube and do all this collecting somewhere that it's likely to get watched. Sorry if that's too obvious a hint But for the love of all that is good and pure, please don't get into such a frickin' hurry that you misspell a word in the title. It's irritating, for one, but also tells everyone that you don't actually care about these videos.
My real goal is to get a few good videos in return, which is happening. One reason for the new threads is that a search function of the forum is almost non-existent.
