Yes, same for me in the UK. Streams are flakey - the sound skips or the stream disappears and the track data isnât present. The problem has occurred for me over both weekend days around 5-00 pm. Sound quality of all streams is good in the morning (UK time) when a I suspect the servers are quieter.

Thanks a heap for rolling this out BillG. Metadata for RP FLAC streams in Roon is a dream come true. Iâll be dropping some more bucks RPâs way.

On the page that has the RP FLAC links you say âThese links currently do not currently include stream metadata (song title info). Not our choice. We would if we could.â
I wanted to let you know of a FLAC station stream that does include metadata. Itâs Radio Bluesflac from Spain. Itâs the only one I know of that does and Iâm not sure what they are doing right, but it results in clickable links on Roonâs Now Playing page. It would be great to have this for the RP FLAC streams.
Edit: I understand that Radio Bluesflac uses Rocket Streaming, same as RP.
Tried that. Their FLAC stream was unlistenable (sounds like they're overloading their connection) & had no metadata. Perhaps what you're getting isn't really their FLAC stream, or perhaps they're having an issue at the moment. Not familiar with the Rocket server. We use Icecast. I'll check it out. We've actually already sorted that out & will push out the update later this week.

Yes, it is breaking up for me at the moment too. Was working well earlier today in Australia. May be a congestion issue in Spain at this time of day. Iâve been told that it is support for âicy-metadataâ that is the reason Bluesflac is getting metadata into a FLAC stream with Rocket. Not sure if Icecast supports that or not. BillG wrote:

I just wanted to note that FLAC streaming works well on a Raspberry Pi from the command line using omxplayer. $ omxplayer —vol -3000 http://stream.radioparadise.com/flac I add the "—vol -3000" parameter to start playing a bit quieter and then adjust volume using +/- keys. There are also parameters to force HDMI or analog audio out.
