A) Message sent was received with that thought in mind coming from you. I'm not going to go deep on this. I have a tiny monitor. Perhaps you could write it down so I can read it if it is that important.
B) Sorry no CT's on this from my end. Doesn't matter where it could come from if the early stages were handled the same way. I would feel no differently. How would you feel if it came from Russia, Russia, Russia ? I bet you would be really, really, really pissed off at Trump if that was the case.
You blame Trump for all the death and hold China blameless for starting the whole problem. Yep.
A) Wrong. Read the fine print.
B) EDIT: Also wrong on the second count. I have never said or implied any such thing. China "starting the whole problem".... would you be so inflamed if the thing had first appeared in say, Israel, or Chile, or... etc. etc. Oh, that's right: BIll Gates/Wuhan lab, something, something...

i'm pretty confident we'll collaborate and find solutions
Additional evidence for preexisting cross-immunity to #SARSCoV2 due to exposure to 'common cold' coronaviruses. This is excellent news, as a smaller proportion of the population may need to get infected for #COVID19 to become endemic. (1/2)https://t.co/bA0SKj0zvj

A major breakthrough to find a solution to the Coronavirus pandemic comes from a laboratory in San Diego
Fingers crossed! The teaser mentions July but that might be only in limited trials. The last bit of the article says this:
Sorrento hopes to have an application to submit to the FDA by the end of the year for approval. They say scientists there are still working on developing a vaccine for the coronavirus as well. They plan to submit their full results for a peer-reviewed publication shortly.
i there's another company that is ahead of sorrento
distributed bio
they've got a press release with a bunch of folks monday
6-way press release including US. Army Research Institute of Infectious Diseases @USAMRIID, Kim lab at @Stanford, UTMB/Galveston National Laboratory @utmbnews, @CRiverLabs, @centivax and @distributedbio dropping on Monday - coordinating with media outlets to maximize impact

Matt Taibbi is hard to read, no matter who or what he's eviscerating. He presents uncomfortable truths but surrounds them with sweeping generalizations about the FBI and Democratic voters' opinions of the Bureau. And then there's the sneering and ranting.
Nearly 2000 former Justice Department officials have signed onto a letter calling for Attorney General William Barr to resign over what they describe as his improper intervention in the criminal case of former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn.
And what about the other group of former DOJ officials who agree with Barr ? They are chopped liver ?
Actually my understanding is that getting in early turns off or drastically slows down our antibody generation, because what the virus does in high risk (pulmonary anyway) is put your immune system into overdrive and your own antibodies kill you. It is basically keeping you out of your defense and the virus itself is not so bad by itself that you can be managed through the infection staying out of an ICU, which is the name of the game if you go down, at least for me.
I could be close or half right with this explanation. It's just a summary of all the listening I've been doing lately.
And with anything, getting started STAT makes all the difference in the outcome.
Me, I'm hoping to pick up a plasma antibody fix. That is what I want the most, sitting where I am right now. I could then relax and get on with it.
Funny to think that cancer is the least of my problems right now.
I wonder who is getting plasma antibodies/how they become available and where. I would assume that they are not plentiful or readily available. I saw a news story last night about a nurse at Mt. Sinai in NYC who got Covid and was staying at home recovering when it worsened and she was hospitalized at Mt. Sinai. She said her son suggested plasma antibodies and the mother received that treatment and said she began recovering within 24 hours. Unclear whether the son was a doctor or otherwise in the health field, but made me wonder why the treating doctors would not be the ones recommending the treatment with plasma antibodies?
It can also depend on how you present yourself, how you advocate for yourself, either you by yourself or you have a damn good one advocating for you. One of the many lessons I have learned in my journey. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Although unlikely, it is possible that the system or her team is so overwhelmed they miss some opportunities or may not even be thinking in those terms. Getting plasma antibodies is not an off the shelf in the pharmacy kind of thing. It takes work to set it up, what about matching blood types if necessary ? I don't know. Maybe they tried it before and the deal fell through and they just took it off the mental table. Or just simple availability. Burnout. That can really get in the way of thinking clearly. Maybe the doctors came up with the idea for plasma the same time the son did and the right thing happened at the right time. Timing is everything in medicine.
Right now the system is not working as intended, it's held together with bailing wire and duct tape. Priority via triage. Someone has to push the doctor to push for the treatment, so many variables. In the end, especially right now, it is the outcome that matters most. Sometimes we just plain get lucky. When things settle down and there is time for thoughtful review you can figure out just how you got lucky.
In calmer times, docs have meeting and discuss their patients with other doctors and review treatments and results. I doubt that there are very many of these meetings happening right now, it is just reacting to what is thrown at you and hoping for the best based on the seat of your pants thinking.
Getting back to the advocating part and wrapping this up. There is a reason I go in to my oncologist's office every two weeks for over 10 years now and will forever, for a shot instead of getting an implant that would be a once in 6 months thing that accomplishes the same. I know everyone by their first name, they know me by my first name. I walk in and wave at the desk, and get checked in without even saying a word other than hello. I talk to people and they know that I am informed so when I suggest something or ask a question, it gets considered immediately, based upon my track record. They know that I am a compliant patient* and follow through with my responsibility as a patient; they know that I am not wasting their precious time with trivial notions. I need something, they try and get it to happen real quick. Iffen I was only there twice a year, I would just be another patient with a medical record number and get bogged down in the system with little influence over it. So I will begin working in my interest in getting an antibody treatment and see how feasible it is and get them thinking about it so when they get an opportunity to offer it, they might think of me first, that I am the ideal candidate for it or whatever, you get the idea. I'm thinking long ball here. And Karma. I am a believer.
* just a word about being a compliant patient.. It does manifest itself in your records either in patterns or sometimes directly in specific notes. Do you follow orders, finish taking all your meds rather than stopping when you start feeling better ? Things like that. Medical professionals are far more likely to be willing to help you if they know you are compliant versus non compliant. A discussion of this aspect would be relevant in how we will succeed or not in beating this bug. Very complex issue, but key. For another day.
This symbolizes why I see Trump as such a danger. Among his flood of tweets yesterday, Trump included the one I have reproduced below. The tweet from a Florida man was accompanied by a video showing a Florida bar (open air; looked like on a pier) was very crowded. The guy shooting it was bragging about the lack of social distancing and the wearing of masks. Trump retweeted it without comment. How in the world is that responsible behavior, much less leadership, from a President? Party on, Wayne. Party on, Garth.
Uh oh, wouldnât want the Commies in blue states to see us Floridians all out at bars having a good time with no face masks
Might destroy their narrative that everyoneâs gonna die if we donât live in a bubble forever!
I'll drive my giant pickup truck and carry my guns everywhere and wear no fuckin' mask and don't do no social distancin' and watch my FOX News and my Breitbart bullshit and love my breath-takingly stoopid president and my representatives who are owned by the corporations that make my life miserable and take my food stamps and farm subsidies - THAT AREN'T SOCIALISM - and throw my recyclables in the trash and go to church on Sundies and PRAISE JESUS who chose Donald Trump as our savior from the libtard commies!!! 'MERICA!!! FREEDOM!!!
Matt says you should wake the eff up. You're stepping on your own dick as you rush to mock those who think differently.
But hey, mock away. It's not like you're crazy enough to repeat what you did in 2016, right?
Matt Taibbi is hard to read, no matter who or what he's eviscerating. He presents uncomfortable truths but surrounds them with sweeping generalizations about the FBI and Democratic voters' opinions of the Bureau. And then there's the sneering and ranting.
But the matter of Michael Flynn is not going away, no matter how hard Bill Barr wishes it so:
Nearly 2000 former Justice Department officials have signed onto a
letter calling for Attorney General William Barr to resign over what
they describe as his improper intervention in the criminal case of
former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn.
Last week, the DOJ moved to drop charges against Flynn who had pleaded
guilty twice to lying to the FBI about his contacts with the former
Russian ambassador during the presidential transition.
The letter, signed mostly by former career officials in the department, accuses Barr of joining with President Trump in "political interference in the Departmentâs law enforcement decisions."
"Attorney General Barrâs repeated actions to use the Department as a
tool to further President Trumpâs personal and political interests have
undermined any claim to the deference that courts usually apply to the
Departmentâs decisions about whether or not to prosecute a case," reads
the letter, which was organized by the group 'Protect Democracy'.
...
The filing last Thursday by the U.S. Attorney in D.C. Timothy Shea cited new evidence uncovered in Jensen's review that the department said rendered the investigation into Flynn illegitimate at the time of his interview.
Mary McCord, who served as the former acting assistant Attorney General for National Security during the early stages of the Russia investigation, said in a New York Times op-ed Sunday that the DOJ's filing to dismiss the charges cited comments she made in an interview "more than 25 times."
McCord accused the department of "twisting" her comments in a misleading effort to undercut the department's case against Flynn.
"The report of my interview is no support for Mr. Barrâs dismissal of the Flynn case," McCord said. "It does not suggest that the F.B.I. had no counterintelligence reason for investigating Mr. Flynn. It does not suggest that the F.B.I.âs interview of Mr. Flynn â which led to the false-statements charge â was unlawful or unjustified."
McCord did note, however, that she had been critical of the FBI for failing to properly consult the Justice Department of its agents' plans to interview Flynn until when they were already "on the way" to the White House.
"There were protocols for engaging with White House officials and protocols for interviews, and this was, of course, a sensitive situation,â McCord said in the op-ed, while adding, "the report of my interview does not anywhere suggest that the F.B.I.âs interview of Mr. Flynn was unconstitutional, unlawful or not âtetheredâ to any legitimate counterintelligence purpose."
Separately, a former career prosecutor who resigned from the department after Barr's intervention in the sentencing of former Trump ally Roger Stone broke his silence Monday in a Washington Post op-ed, describing the move as the latest "appalling chapter" in the politicization of the nation's top law enforcement agency.
"The dedicated public servants who remain cannot respond publicly to those who claim that the department acted appropriately in these cases," said Jonathan Kravis, who now works in the office of D.C. attorney general Karl Racine. "But I can, and I say this. If the department truly acted because of good-faith commitments to legal positions, then where is the evidence of those commitments in other cases that do not involve friends of the president?"
