Or, following your line of thinking, Manchin wants something from Biden in return for staying out of the race.

AFAICT, Manchin loves the spotlight and is milking the end of his 15 minutes for all it's worth.

Biden stopped DNA testing of minors arriving with adults to establish if there was a genuine parent/child relationship.
So someone arrives with a kid and says the child is his daughter, there is no attempt made to verify this.
Once inside the country the kid is handed off to someone/anyone and the 'parent' takes the money given to 'family units'.
remember that the USA is the biggest market for child sex trafficking.

Also - estimates are that around 100 000 single, fighting-age Chinese men have crossed the border ( concievable if 22000 have been arrested), and made their way into the country. Ordinarily, 100 000 men equals roughly 5 combat divisions.
There you go.

Now...you can argue with me about it, demand evidence etc...and understand that I am not interested in convincing you of what you don't want to be convinced of, I don't care anymore beyond how it affects me directly.
Or you can maybe go and find out for yourself, if you care about the possibility of it and think it may be problematic.
There is plenty to be found if you care to look.

Alternatively, if this is the kind of thing you are in favour of, then carry on as you were and don't cry when you or someone you love gets blown up somewhere, or when the Utopia you are hoping for in the USA turns out to be 'not what you were expecting'.

I would posit that most of the far left in the USA today are not up to the reality of said Utopia.
You will not llie it and you will not survive it for long.

And also remember....normally the traitors and activists inside of a country are among the first to be put against the wall and shot in the head when the occupying regime takes over, because they are clearly not to be trusted.

Finally, do not think for a minute that the LGBTQ-alphabet soup folks are going to be better off under a Communist regime. That is not how it works.
Watch them being thrown off the roofs like a human waterfall.

Have a nice day, folks.

Holy shit man, that's a lot.  You're not paying attention if you don't follow the money, a good deal of which is funding these gangs that cause people to run from their homes.  America, the great experiment, is rotting from within and frankly, that's what you guys get for dismissing the voices of reason for thousands of years.  If women had a respected voice, we wouldn't be in this shit right now.

Man, if I was a supporter of an old guy who had a history of real-estate failures, repeated infidelity, welshing on contracts, and literally ZERO political experience of any sort being shoved into the role of President, I don’t know if I’d be so quick to critique politicians’ resumes.

Again, you avoid the direct question. Again, you provide no policy alternative.  I have no interest in discussing this matter with you anymore. You've had your chance to discuss this problem intelligently but you just can't do it. Maybe you should stick to Lawrence Welk.

Trump's policies worked and worked better than anyone else's.  You know the ones Biden reversed on day one including the remain in Mexico policy.

Those policies.

There is your direct answer.  Now answer mine.

I think it's quite believable that terrorists or other nefarious groups are infiltrating through our porous borders.
Not that I am advocating for "closing" the border, but why the hell do we not better manage the flow of people into this country?
Neither political party has put forth a reasonable plan, and both should be ashamed.

Do you or Jiggz have ANY EVIDENCE that illegal immigrants at our southern border have organized or are organizing into a terrorist threat against the US? You're the ones avoiding the direct question.

Do you seriously believe that Trump has a coherent plan to deter illegal immigration at our southern border if he's re-elected? Remember that this is the guy who couldn't even get his beloved wall built. This is the guy who wants to fire missiles at Mexican cartels, with or without the approval of the Mexican government. Trump doesn't stop to think that doing so could completely destabilize the Mexican government while doing NOTHING to decrease Americans' appetite for cheap labor and plentiful street drugs.

Consider also that illegal immigrants still tried to get into the US despite Trump's promise of zero tolerance and policy of separating children from their parents. Numerous parents interviewed for news stories said that they would be willing to have that separation happen if it gave their kids a chance at staying in the US.

I highly doubt that Trump  in '24 would be any more effective than Biden, Obama or Bush at slowing illegal border crossing attempts. The main drivers for this problem are the economic and political problems of the crossers' countries of origin. When things get worse in those countries, more people try to flee to the US. I can't imagine Trump has any interest in helping stabilize our southern neighbors.

If you want a third choice, a good start would be to help Mexico and large countries like Brazil absorb more immigrants and turn away people intent on passing through their borders to get the US. The federal government could also try to mandate that each state take in more immigrants so as to ease the burden on places like TX and CA. The government could also bolster the immigration system to process and admit more individuals who can prove that they can contribute and live peacefully in the US. There are areas in this country where the decline in population is causing economic and social problems.

But I don't expect intelligent discussion with you. You just want some loudmouthed criminal narcissist to run the country for you so you don't have to actually think for yourself. You just repeat the crap that right-wing talking heads spew, even though they openly lied to you about how the election was rigged and Trump won. You're really not much better than Pavlov's dog.

Maybe you believe that all of those entering our country illegally are all wholesome individuals seeking employment and the betterment of the USA ?

You did use the word all in your remarks about the Chinese even though no one else did ...

I did not know that all Chinese caught at our southern border make up "combat divisions worth of fit, single, fighting age Chinese men."

I did not know that.

Whatever reasonable claim your posts had to serious consideration is long, long gone. You refuse to discuss the legal cases that Trump faces as well as has his obvious attempt to overthrow American democracy. You refuse to acknowledge that a jury found Trump guilty of rape and defamation of character. You run away from acknowledging that Trump's carelessness and incompetence cost the lives of hundreds of thousands of American Covid-infected individuals.

You cling to some vision of America that is fading into the past, a vision that Trump, even in his prime and with maximal powers, could not bring back.

When it comes to politics AFAICT you run on fear and hatred.

If you're trying to convince reasonable people that they should share your concerns, you've done the exact opposite. Own your failure.
