I've had similar thoughts, given the announced future plan of opening a chat on discord.

Not meaning to hype the existing forum in any way. It deeply sucks on more than one end, imo...

The worst thing to me is the left topics bar... it doesn't allow for a structured (thematically ordered) view of recent and most answered topics. The Forum Index doesn't provide that either (although it pretends to do). Instead, the left scroll-bar delivers only the latest postings, which may seem totally irrelevant to one's daily likes or intentions.

This is mentioned among many secondary things named here before, such as easiness of pasting links, own fotos, screenshots, etc. A structured overview of all posts is mostly missing imo.
