I had no idea this show existed. So Mr. Ed wasn't the first talking animal on TV.

I just watched a clip and it seemed like light, silly fun.

Bassets are a bit goofy but they'll put a smile on anyone's face.

A few months ago I was helping a friend move a bookcase. He has a Bassett Hound named Rocky. What a baby. Goofy and needy and danged cute.
Anyhow Rocky got behind me because he has to be a part of everything going on; and I did a backward trip, and in turning to catch myself from falling on him I hit my mouth on a wooden crate, my mouth exploding.
Serious blood and drama ensued. My friend was freaking out and wanting to dial 911 etc.
There was so much blood initially that I just knew that I had knocked my expensive dental work out but it became clear that I had bitten through my bottom lip.
The fight was stopped and Rocky declared the winner by TKO.
Fat lip persisted for the next few months. It was ugly.
All Rocky could day was duh. Lol

She's got a real eye for color and hue.

My parents had a Challenger. My dad got a real kick out of asking no one in particular "Does she have a Hemi?"

It did not and he knew as much.
