My friend's dad had emphysema and on a road trip through ALA he said to his son, 'Let me have a ''drag'' off of that''. He smoked about half of it and said 'nothing to it' and threw some really good green out the window. Then,, he wanted to stop and he just walked and walked. ....said he never felt so good; ...never breathed so good. ..and he never put two and two together, either. It was terrific for them both. His dad lived a bit longer but never smoked or felt so good again. Do I hear an AMEN? AMEN SISTAH!!!

Speaking of bongs....my brother was helping me fill up our mom's birdfeeder, which is way up on a pole that you have to lower down to the deck to open.....and there was a cylindrical wooden thing that the pole was resting on. When my brother saw it, he picked it up with a grin and said, "Hey, what's my old bong doing out here?" Apparently, back in high school, he and his next-door buddy had fashioned it out of an old piece of wood from his dad's shop in the garage....and he showed me how they used to use it.....complete with the gurgly sound effects. We had such a good laugh. EDIT: Mellie, I just don't even want to take any chances.... After spending last autumn not being able to take a full breath.....just....no.
