I listen to old time radio detective stories sometimes when I travel - I love the feeling of being transported to the 40âs and 50âs - they usually have the old adverts included its a hoot

Lots to listen to there, but in looking for other stuff in a similar vein, a suggestion came up for Malcolm Gladwell's "Revisionist History." It's one of those things where I'm hanging out in a room full of people who are a lot smarter than I am, but they all do a good job of keeping me up to speed. And a couple of memorable ideas have stuck, mostly the one from an episode "Saigon 1965" where at one point, the subject says "seeing the evidence doesn't mean that you change your mind. Seeing the evidence just increases your fear."

Sound Opinions - music podcast out of Chicago. Some are interesting,
Dan Carlin's Hardcore History - Stumble on it when Colbert mentions it in his Late Show podcast - Pretty fascinating stuff on the Genghis and "Wrath of the Khans". Other history podcasts were rather bland in comparison.
