For the Alexa route,  my understanding is Tune In  uses the 320kbps streams.   But you can't  change the bitrate.
You can invoke the new mixes like so.

"Alexa play Radio Paradise Mellow Mix  on Tune In"
"Alexa play Radio Paradise Rock Mix on Tune In"
"Alexa play Radio Paradise World Mix on Tune In"

Can leave off "on Tune In"  if you don't have the rp skill installed.

You can add custom streams to tune in but that doesn't seem to support flac for now.

OK.....now how do I specify which RP  mix is playing on Sonos/Tunein? Also specifying use of FLAC streaming quality.

Greetings Bill. I trust all is well. My Sonos has decided that RP is not going to work today. I can stream RP directly on my cell phones and computers, but dear old Sonos is a no go. Did the standard resets, reloads, etc. And I talked to the uncle of one of the Sonos engineers about them, who is a friend of mine.  The uncle is a true believer now in RP, btw. Now I am trying to get him to pry his wallet open. He said they are an engineering company and not a software company. BAH, I say. And he said that they are an awesome data collection firm. All other music  apps are working of course. I persist in nagging. Hope it is a simple reset or just go into no RP withdrawals for a few hours and try again. :-)

I am running Windows 10 and also have a galaxy S7.  RP played just fine on Sonos until this morning.Uninstalled and re-installed RP app and Sonos app
 on both phone and laptop. Reconfigured all the speakers. Turns out all my other stations play fine, just not RP.Tried deleting the station
and adding it again by typing in the streaming url....no luck. It looks like it's playing but no song info comes up and no sound.

I too have issues with SONOS. It's a clunky system for sure. It easily decides to you reset things before it will respond. But at least it dosen't drop much.
What DOES drop a lot is the FLAC selection when playing through my PC. I'm direct wired to a pretty fast and stable internet connection, FLAC should not be a problem but constantly it is.
Lower bit-rates all seem to work fine. But man, I love that FLAC!  I sure wish I could listen to it.
  Any suggestions?

I'm suffering the same problem in Germany (close to Hamburg). 8 Years no remarkable problems - this morning from 7 am - no sound...
Any ideas ?

I posted on the Sonos page. Would be great if Sonos provided some of the features, mainly PSD/skip songs and the ability to select the music type like you can on the android app. Will look at posting on the FB page too.

These days there are so many other devices which compete with Sonos (which replaced my Squeezeboxes long time ago), so considering moving to something new.

Could try using my 'Raspberry Pi 3' for streaming RP. This is a $30 device but needs some programming.

The nice thing about the Sonos is you can link players, but as use I my devices through two multi-room amps, I would just need to take the output from the main player up one floor, which I can easily do which would free the Sonos up to be used in a different zone...

We get a lot of folks asking why they can't easily access RP via their Sonos system. 

We'd like that too. It's not an easy thing to arrange, unfortunately, if you're not Spotify or Pandora. You can listen via TuneIn (we're under 'eclectic' in their directory) but that lacks any of our advanced features.

Pinging support@sonos.com with something like this might help:

"I'd love to listen to Radio Paradise in lossless format, and be able to skip songs like you can on their apps or web player. When I contacted them they said they'd be willing to work with you on this."

A Play:5 has an input and can be used in place of your computer speakers. This can be used as a source for streaming around the house - but is only seen as an input by Sonos when the plug is inserted. If you want to stream music from the computer you can share libraries via Media Player/MediaMonkey, although I have had local firewall issues to resolve before this worked reliably, and large collections can make it choke. A Connect can be used to stream music from an external source (iPod, HiFi etc).
