A Bit of Fry and Laurie was brilliant, Alfresco was hit and miss - but the two of them, along with the rest of the stellar cast, are not to be missed in seasons two, three, and four of Blackadder!

Stephen Fry is doing a series on BBC radio called "Fry's English Delight".  You may be able to listen again but I know that sometimes stuff isn't available overseas.

Slang question:

I'm reading a Dave Robicheaux novel by James Lee Burke in English (I'm Dutch), set in New Orleans. One of my favourite writers, well written, atmospheric and a good plot.

We have an FBI agent, quite a strange woman, who just had a quarrel with the local Police chief. Now she talks to Dave:

Agent:'"She called the FBI "Fart, Barf and Itch".
Dave: "That's an old NOPD heirloom"
Agent: "I don't care what it is. I told her we expect a degree of professionalism from her and her department, unless I walked into the tongue-and-groove club by mistake."
