I didn't question the importance, I'm just glad I was focused on the stuff that I can get paid for.   Also surprised at how many of those are "I know that guy" but I can't come up with the name.

I don't know that I would know Nick Heyward in a photo. Did the artist go find obscure before-they-were-famous A-Ha pictures? Because what?

EXACTLY!

I was thinking yesterday that it was funny to me to see a lot of stuff represented there that was semi-obscure at the time. I bet I maybe knew 2 other people in the '80s who knew of Klaus Nomi.

? I guess it's not an official key. ;-)

I wish the new site allowed us to color text because I was going to color code bands I've seen/met. Not as many as I thought there'd be.

Yeah, you figured he'd use a drawing from the "Take On Me" video as the starting point for drawing that guy.

That absolutely looks like Patty Donahue, but the artist says it's Nena.   Yup, Marc Almond.  Nick Heyward and Morten Harket next to him.

Like I said, the guy who illustrated it looks to be in his mid-twenties to me. He's wrapped up in a nostalgia that he didn't experience. It's fine, but I think a little skewed. I can post the answer key if anyone wants.

It's interesting; he certainly is marketing the hell out of an era which occurred before he was probably born.  Fun stuff; good on him.  The other mystery guests are bugging me, so I wouldn't mind seeing an answer key.

Welsh! They did one of their later albums in 2 languages. I'll bet that's on YouTube; I should go look for it.

Very much a derivative band... first the Clash, then morphed to U2 style. Excellent show, nice guys.

Oh, that's right, Wales.  I thought the girl above Elvis Costello may be the singer from The Waitresses (and I guess Marc Almond from Soft Cell next to her). I'm not sure who the next two guys to the right are.

Oh, yeah; I forgot about them - the were sort of buried by U2.  Only room for one Irish new wave band at a time I guess.

HoJo, Lene, Kajagoogoo guy. I think we had Kajagoogoo up higher, near Boy George, but I'm saying that's Limahl. Shit. Just found out Limahl was in Kajagoogoo.

Pretty sure that's him next to Boy George. You can see why I get tripped up on potential dual Howards -

I guess it could be him - I figured the illustrator would've gone for the more teased-big-hair look that Bono had in the early '80s.  The guy above Cyndi?
