Nah. Just freeload on all your friends like I did in 2010. (Thanks again, everybody!)

Well you could have come down here and enjoyed the dry heat.
Like today... it was 116° F. in lovely La Quinta.
I'm pretty sure it's 104º out there now at 10:35 P.M.
At least it's dry out...

Note to self: wave in KfromQ's general direction from within air-conditioned high-speed moving vehicle.

It's been a while and it's our first road trip, well first vacation for that matter, with the kiddo. First annual family vacation; going to do something every summer.

Not "nearest lake". As per my "nearest road" . . . it works like this. Drive to the end of a dirt road, to a boat launch on one lake.  Launch the boat there and boat approx 20 miles up the lake.  Arrive at a river that flows into that lake.  Boat up the river to the start of another lake.  Then boat up that lake for another approx 20 miles to a back country campsite (situated next the waterfall you see in the pic).  Yeah, it's fantastic water, great for fishing and swimming and viewing wildlife.  Dog loves it there too {#Smile}
