"Entertainers" is probably more what they would have been called.

The two men are somewhat recognizable, I'm not sure about the women, though.

I recognized Carlin and Davidson, but the women may just be fans, as you said - the one on the left does look a little like Dyan Cannon; she might be one of The King Cousins.  The photo is from a program called The Kraft Summer Music Hall, apparently Carlin was the main writer of the show and Davidson provided some sort of musical interludes.

And for voices - sam ting. We have a CD by a vocal group Anuna - favorite song on it is called Blue Bird. Lovely soprano, ethereal.

Years later I was privileged to see Riverdance via the sweetness of a friend who shared premium tickets. I heard that voice in the chorus! No idea who it was (and of course I don't remember now). It took me about 2 days of sleuthing to track it down, though and I was correct.

No talent is entirely useless (or at least that's what I tell myself).  A friend of mine posted that picture elsewhere, but I know they got it from a site which had many pre-fame or rare photos of celebrities - I can't find the site at present though.

* edit...Oh, this is it:  Rare Photos of Famous People

Someone else may have posted it a while back.
