NFL Pick 'em w/confidence Week 3 Recap
Moak was 11-5 (111points) for the week and joins Vote for π, and Team Zen in a virtual ménage à trois at the top. Gonzoids actually picked more winners for a 12-4 week earning a tie for the week with 111 points. Sprouts Picks '08 outpicked them both with a 13-3 week but lost big w/ New England (as we all did to some degree) and Indy to end up in third place for the week with 109 points. Team Zen 11-5 (105 pts) and badmofo 10-6 (102 pts) round out the week's top 5.
Overall standings (minus worst week):
1 | Vote for π | | 202 | 1 | Team Zen | | 202 | 1 | Moak | | 202 | 4 | Gonzoids2 | | 197 | 5 | stiller | | 191 | 6 | Red-faced but tryin' | | 187 | 7 | goodfella | | 186 | 8 | shnerky's always right | | 184 | 9 | Sprouts Picks 08 | | 183 | 9 | badmofo | | 183 | 11 | Z-TardZ | | 178 | 12 | zip | | 172 | 13 | Honey's Hot Picks | | 161 | 14 | VeeV | | 160 | 15 | BuzzPicks '08 | | 142 | 16 | Jenseda | | 132 | 17 | joe_pa_turnover | | 21 | note to joe: You need to assign confidence points on each games to score. Looking forward to week 4, the bye weeks begin with Detroit, Indianapolis, Miami, New England, NY Giants, & Seattle off, while the tough matchups to predict this week include the battle of the bays Green @ Tampa, and the battle of the O'fers in Ohio with Cleveland cruising down I-71 to Cincy.

RP Pick em w/ confidence WEEK TWO review
Breaking out a second slice "Vote for π" gets 11 of 16 (104pts), "Stiller" picked 10 for 102 points, "goodfella" goes 11-16 (100pts), "Z-TardZ's" 10-16 (98 pts) was good for fourth, then there was a big 10 point drop to number five where "Shnerky's always right" lived up to that name in half the games for 88 points.
Additional Props to "badmofo" who was the only member of the group to pick the Raiders over the Chiefs, and "Vote for π" who was the only one to take the Redskins over the Saints.
Because of the 'drop the worst week' rule, standings look a bit wacky this week and reflect the total of both weeks in the first column, and then the adjusted total (official standing) in second column. 1 | Vote for π | 207 | 104 | 2 | stiller | 201 | 102 | 3 | goodfella | 186 | 100 | 4 | Z-TardZ | 179 | 98 | 5 | Team Zen | 180 | 97 | 6 | Red-faced but tryin' | 179 | 93 | 7 | Moak | 167 | 91 | 8 | shnerky's always right | 178 | 90 | 9 | Gonzoids2 | 171 | 86 | 10 | Honey's Hot Picks | 145 | 82 | 10 | VeeV | 82 | 82 | 12 | badmofo | 142 | 81 | 13 | zip | 149 | 75 | 14 | Sprouts Picks 08 | 145 | 74 | 15 | BuzzPicks '08 | 137 | 71 | 16 | Jenseda | 56 | 56 | 17 | joe_pa_turnover | 0 | 0 |
Finally, a welcome to "VeeV" who steps right in to the 10th spot, and hello to "joe_pa_turnover", you'll have to start one scoring week behind...but making up 100 or so points is still very possible

Yahoo Pick 'em w/confidence week 1 RECAP
Vote for π went 12-4 and earned 103 points to take the early lead. Stiller also went 12-4 for 99 points. Team Zen 97pts, Red Faced 93pts, and Moak 91pts all went 11-5 to round out the top 5.
Jesenda was our only oops of the week picking the winners but not assigning confidence points. Remember its a two step process...who you think will win, and how sure you are of that pick (confidence). Your still in it Jesenda because the worst week of each player is dropped. Standings

All sports fans are invited to join up and see if you can out-pick your fellow RP'ers in NFL winners.
This will be the 3rd year for this league , and like last year confidence points are 'wagered' with each pick. NEW this year, the deadline for picks is 5 minutes before each game, This should make it easier to keep pace with that tough NFL schedule, like when they have games on weird days such as Thursday and Saturday. I think I had the 'lowest weeks score' dropped last year, but if not then that is new too.
Good luck to all here is the info;
Yahoo Group # 9806 ID = billg .
there is still time to join!
