I think its 9 and 12 PST, which would be 12 and 3 EST. The last played time from last year on the song page shows 12:00 PST. And he always plays it twice each Thanksgiving.

if you miss it on RP, you can stream WXRT from chicago, which plays it on thanksgiving day at 11 a.m. central time every year.

I grew up listening to this song as a tradition and every time I hear it I see my life flash before my eyes (in a good way!!). I remember back to being a kid going to my big brother's high school Turkey Day game and hearing this on the return trip. Then I remember listening it when I was in college, at home waiting for the bird to cook and for the relatives to come over, thinking how strange it is for me to be home in New England again. Then I flash forward to Thanksgiving Days when I was out of college and going to my girlfriend/wife's family's for the big day, and listening to Arlo and wondering how wonderful it is that some things change but others stay just the same. And in the past several years, I have listened to Arlo and Alice on RP while my son and I get ready to help Mom in the kitchen. Time for new traditions but let's not forget the good old ones!! And now, when my life is about to change in many drastic ways once again after some years of static living, I think I need to hear Arlo on RP again to let me know that although lots of things change, some things remain the same and that is very important. i hear ya, my friend.

KBCO in Boulder used to play it on thanksgiving, and we listened when I was in a house full of 20 somethings that had gathered away from our families. I know you can get a recording, but there is something about hearing it broadcast that just means thanksgiving to me. Looks like I'm not alone, maybe it's a movement?
Last Thanksgiving, Sirius dedicated a channel to the song for the day. They played every recorded version of it. And Arlo performs it live every year on Thanksgiving, so there were at least 40 versions played. My sister burned a CD with at least a dozen different versions a few years ago.

I saw Arlo perform this a few years back and it was very true to the original recording. It's a fun song! I enjoy hearing it every year!

Heck, he plays that stupid (by his own admission) 'Pickle Song' for what seems like three days at a pop. Must have some kinda technique for keepin' it going. c.
