Headphones Only - June 2022 launched today. I use media mail, so it's cheaper ($3.19 per unit instead of $5) and slower. ETA should be the 29th. Hope you enjoy!
looking forward to your inaugural effort however, i really need new headphones any suggestions?
Very much enjoyed, especially - of course - the Alice. Has always been a fave of mine.
Nicely done on the Beatles/not Beatles. That's a Klaatu tune I don't remember. I used to have their first album, but it's long gone.
I have a hard time loving anything that's not the original version of the Burt tunes. Remember that he wrote the music, so if all that's left is the lyrics it's really a Hal David tune.
Hadn't heard the Rickie Dan before. Noice.
And I, too, am a Steve Miller fan. (Fave memory, a guitarist I worked with mocked the opening of Abracadabra and we called him on it, so he picked up his guitar and without prompting played it perfectly for us. We were in awe.)
And that H&O is from my favorite album of theirs, which they seem to be breaking out in force now during live shows, actually doing the title tune. And Oates singing his pedophile song (!) "ain't no use resisting / it's the cradle thief insisting..."

My original mix that I've been planning in my mind for the last year had to be put on hold due to some technical problems. I'm hoping to have it solved in time for the October Miser release. Since I'm always adding ingredients to my ever evolving Mini Miser stew I thought I'd stick with that format once again.
Hello & Goodbye had been looking for some other subjects to transition nicely. I thought it was as good a time as any to throw the Beatles thing in fresh off of Miami's Bealesque disc. The Bacharach idea came from a lyric in Lazy's latest Shine issue. Threw some jazzy sounding stuff in, with a cool Dan cover for our newest members' enjoyment. I wasn't planning on Steve Miller but I wasn't happy with how Hot Chili was working out so I figured, why not throw some more in. I haven't listened to him in awhile anyway.
Credit as always for the artwork from my lovely bride (Yes, ColdMiser took the plunge this past April!)
Someone who likes Alice Cooper as much as I do really should listen to it more often. Thanks for the excuse! Even in my teenage obsessive days I neglected the glitzier numbers like Hello, Hooray. The OK Go was a nice surprise; I tend to think of them as clever videographers more than musicians and it's nice to be reminded that there's some depth there.
The Beatles suite nailed it. Well chosen.
I didn't hear anything I didn't like in the middle but Ricky Lee Jones did an excellent job with a Steely Dan song. I can even understand the lyrics!
Haven't listened to Steve Miller since he went off the rails a while back but it's nice to be reminded why I liked him in the first place.
The last section was all new to me, and all worth getting to know. I owe you a beer!

I'm going to visit him and told him: "Gatlinburg in mid July, and I just hit town and my throat was dry" - I know why you booked this place.
