Maybe I missed it before, but it seems there's a change in the space between songs, that beat where one ends and the other can get into it's own clean air. Where's that beat? It's kind of a disco runonsentence now. Or has it always been that way and it just now started annoying me?

2.  You're listening at a very high level. When speech is played back at a level higher than real-world speech volumes, it can trigger a "that's too loud" reaction, even though music at that level might sound just great.

Probably #2, I'd guess.

Will the 'Replay gain' setting fix that louder voice if I set it to Smart Gain? Thanks,Huck

Probably not.

The voice announcements are at the same peak level as the music, with a slightly lower average level in most cases. On my Node it sounds just as I'd expect.

A couple of theories:

1. Something in your listening setup — speakers, acoustics, or your ears — is peaked in the lower midrange region.

2.  You're listening at a very high level. When speech is played back at a level higher than real-world speech volumes, it can trigger a "that's too loud" reaction, even though music at that level might sound just great.

I listen to RP at the same volume that I would when listening to any other  form,CD,Amazon ,Tidal and usually that is at a fair volume, especially when I am doing some serious listening, but when the announcer(DJ),comes on,the volume is about 10 DB louder than the rest of the music,so I have to turn the volume down quickly.
Any way to lower the announcer's voice, maybe same level as the rest of the tracks,or maybe a touch lower?
RP is way better sounding than Spotify(which I have). Thanks,Keith(Canada)
