That feature got cut since we capped how far out of sync you can get by pausing. Around 45 minutes.
It's also bit problematic if everyone is perfectly in sync so there is a bit of randomization on clients that allow skipping songs. So everyone isn't changing songs at the same time.
Oh, wow! A whole forum thread for reporting bugs !
I've been listening to RP for years... reading your comments in the songs, replying to them occasionally ... and until this week I never knew that this forum even existed! I thought all the interactions happened in the comments section alone.
In the browser, as well as in the iphone app, I can't find a (sane) way to sync with what's currently being streamed.
This can be useful for example when you've pressed pause and don't want to resume from that song. And sometimes the browser or app is just a couple of songs off for some reason (I'd guess some caching mechanism).
I believe on the old website there was a way to do this with a sync button. But I can also imagine other ways, for example a "stop" button next to "pause".
So I wondered if there currently is indeed no syncing functionality built in, or if there are any plans to add such a thing.

So what are the parameters now? It says minimum 200x200 but the old system was very picky. 80x80 and under 10kb or something nuts. Transparent PNGs okay? I saw that a GIF is converted to PNG; same for JPG?
Min size is now 200x200.
GIFs are converted to PNGs.
JPGs and PNGs keep their format.
And PNGs retain their transparency.
Yeah sorry looks like that has been updated as well. I think part of the issue was the cropping and resizing tools did not work with gifs.

Super low priority but is there a box you can tick to allow animated GIF avatars? Anyone who had one before the website change, still has it {insert wiggling pickle here} but if we upload a new one, it doesn't loop.
With the new sizes no. But should still be possible via edit profile on the legacy site.

On the Artist and Album pages, can you sort the list of albums by release date instead of the internal database ID? Some people might also like an option to sort by album name, but release date is good enough for me.
Also, can you de-duplicate the albums database table? There are several artists who have duplicate albums. Younger Brother is an example.
There may also be duplicate artist rows in the DB, but without blindly searching for examples in the artist search, I'm not sure how I would notice them in the UI.
If you go to a member's page - as if to message them (if one can figure out how to do it) there is a toolbar
at the top of the message composition page. It has an image button. Clicking on this brings forth a small
thin, rectangular blank window which has no apparent purpose that I can see. However, if this image
button were to someday function, that would be a fine thing. And also... if you took this fully functional
toolbar and put it atop the 'post to a topic in the listener's forum page', well, shazam! One might have all
sorts of agreeable interactions!
Looks like you might be messinâ where you ought not be. Do not push that image button under any circumstance. You do love kittens, right?

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Some pages if bookmarked trigger auto play. But they require some audio permissions to be enabled in the browser. Might be related to that.
It isn't keeping up with what's actually playing. As of right now it has stopped at The Beat by Elvis Costello at 12:01pm.
