same here, my other half is winding down a mild case
i say you feel a bit warm and she says yeah my throat has been a little sore and i have had a headache all day
probably caught a bug from one of the kids at school
i grab a test and bada bing, two red lines
today is day 14 since her symptoms began
and somehow i have remained negative
hope you all come through in one piece
Thanks J - I hope you stay clear and she continues to improve.
Of course, the ton of bricks hit me last night and now my fever is climbing and my arthritic hips are aching.
After two years of successful mitigation strategies, the VID hit the homestead this week. Mrs. 'Grim has had a steady fever and is developing a nasty cough. I remain unblemished, but biding my time... Stay healthy everyone!
Sorry to see this, D...I hope her case is mild and she recovers quickly and you are able to avoid it.

But the POS that is paid for went up in a plume of smoke in my work parking lot this morning. Just so undependable, always something. It's got almost 200k miles on it. But it's always something....and has been since the day I bought it.
Sorry to hear that. Looking for another vehicle is a PITA, but the used car prices are dropping from the ridiculous prices from Covid times.
I've got a 90's model Toyota Tacoma with 5 billion miles on it that I use for that type stuff. Best vehicle ever but most definitely not good for day to day. I think I'm ready for a luxury car after driving the POS I've had for so long. lol I've been looking at everything....just can't make up my mind. And I shouldn't say POS....I have a love hate relationship with that car. I do know this...that is the last Ford I will ever buy. I've never had much luck with any Ford model that I've ever owned.
We have a couple of Lexuses (Lexi?) now. They are luxury Toyotas so you'll still get a billion miles and if you don't mind a little foot work you can mostly buy Toyota parts and skip the Lexus tax. I've been through a lot of the European brands and I do love them, but the 65K mile Russian Roulette game where you go "gee I wonder how much that weird clunk is going to cost me", or "huh, that heater switch is a little glitchy, I wonder what the chances are is it's less than $1,500" just gets old. Even under warranty I always felt a weird pang of guilt when I called the service manager and said "I'll need an office with WiFi and plenty of coffee while you fix the strut again".
