I was lucky this came out as well as it did. We arrived in Petulu in a torrential downpour, but I was determined to photograph the nesting egrets (the locals call them 'Kokokan') that return to Petulu every evening. As I jumped from the car over the rushing water at the curb, my lens cap tether caught on the door and the cap ended up racing downstream never to be recovered. Wiping the rain from my lens before every shot, I had no idea if any would come out at all. While Kokokan refer to three kinds of egrets that nest here, I believe this one is a cattle egret.

Nice capture. Too bad about the lens cap. The irony of the lens-cap "leash" causing you to lose the cap; kinda like a sprinkler system starting a fire.
