Funny thing. When I was in my youthful musical prime, I hated the Stones. Not sure why just did. More of a Beatles and Zepplin fan. Again, I said 'my musical youth' so what did I know. My love of Jazz and Blues has helped me to find a new appreciate for these guys. It's like finding a new band in 2014. Promise I won't act like a 17 year old girl.
Not that bad i thought at the beginning. Give it a 6, because its better than some other artist work heared here!

Of all the great classics the Stones have put out over the years, this is not one of them.
There's a Mick/Dave Matthews duet cover of this (I'm also a big DM fan) which is even more painful.
Maybe it's because I find this song cheesier than a fromagerie.

I really need to correct my earlier post. The movie title I referred to was "Moonlight Mile", not "Memory Motel". I don't believe there's ever been a movie with the title of "Memory Motel".
I guess I crossed up my 1970's-era Rolling Stones' album-side ending "MM" balads...
It always gives me a bit of a laugh looking at that cover and seeing Bill Wyman wearing what looks like an original from "The Vincent Price Collection".

One of my fave Stones albums, one that seems to have faded a bit in popularity, but worth checking out for sure.

Nothing could be further from the truth and people's great affinity for their albums of the late 70s and early 80s clearly show that 72 is way to early a date to consider them "past their prime".

However, this song did get me kicked out of my second row, center spot at the Stones' Rose Bowl show in 94. I somehow got a spot standing there through about half the show, but when they went into this # everyone sat down and I was left standing without a seat...soon got booted back to my 50 yard line seat.

I knew this cad in college who did this pretty serious impersonation of Jagger at parties. This was 1990 about and even then it was considered cool. It went over quite well with others and he looked a lot like Mick. He'd be struttin around like a chicken, yes zactly!!!! i was still writing and it was anticipated lol
