Love come quick
Love come in a hurry
There's thieves in the temple tonight
They don't care where they kick
Just as long as they hurt you
They're thieves in the temple tonight

Love, if you're there come save me
From all this cold despair
I can hang when you're around
But I should die if you're not there

Love come quick
Love come in a hurry
They're thieves in the temple tonight

Feel like I'm looking for my soul
Like a poor man looking for gold
They're thieves in the temple tonight

Voices from the sky say
Rely on your best friend to pull you through
Even if I wanted to
I couldn't really truly
Because my only friend is you

Ooh ooh ooh ooohh
Come on

They're thieves in the temple tonight
Kicking me in my heart
Tearing me, tearing me, tearing me, tearing me all apart
Because me and you could've been a work of art
Thieves in the temple

Baby don't you know I'm holding on the best that I can
Love please help me be a better man
Better than the thieves in the temple tonight, in the temple tonight
Thieves in the temple tonight (hurt me)

Love come quick
Love come in a hurry
They're thieves in the temple tonight
Thieves in the temple ohhh
"You said you loved me!"
(Thieves in the temple)
"You said I was your man!"
(Thieves in the temple)
(Love come quick)
"But they were lies! Lies!"
(Love come in a hurry)
Thieves in the temple tonight
"Ahhhh!"

Number one front man of all time!
Maybe not Prince's best tune but pretty darn good IMHO. Lots of low ratings are a surprise though. Slam dunk 7 from Napoli on the Gulf.
I feel a bit guilty for not appreciating Prince's music before his passing.  The extra airplay after his death has made me realize how much great music he made.

Similar thing happened when Warren Zevon died in 03.  I only knew Warewolves of London, and couldn't really understand all of the big fuss about his death from the DJs... now I know better.
Not a good Prince song.. and I'm a fan overall
There are many much much better songs from Prince.
Prime time period: 1983 to 1987
{#Notworthy} Thank you, Bill!
Please, more Prince. But not the tracks that are played everywhere. If I understood how to upload tracks here, I would give some suggestions. E.g. what about the ballad of dorothy parker or anotherloverwholeinyahead...
R.I.P. Prince.
Would like to hear "Sign o' the Times".

Brilliant Artist

Please, Bill, no Prince... Thank you!
Not my favorite Prince song, but nice to hear a rare Prince play.

I have to say: given his talent: Prince seems very under-represented on the Radio Paradise playlist. I expected Bill to have unearthed more Prince gems.

Gotta agree with this. I read these comments and people are amazingly intolerant of the amazing and eclectic mix of music you hear here and nowhere else.

Chill people! I don't mind a Prince song here and there - can anyone tell me where else you'll hear Prince and Debussy and Louis Armstrong  and Zeppelin and Mark Knopfler and some amazing artists you've never heard before - all in one place??

Kudos Bill, throw in a little mainstream whenever you feel like it.

I agree with all of this, most particularly the slice that says "and some amazing artists you've never heard before."  And no commercials to tune out.  Thank you Bill & Rebecca.
Just upped my rating 6 > 7. Like hearing Prince here, it's a treat.
Always been a fan of Prince. Multi-talented, creative and original in a music industry that has become way too preprocessed.

It's not his best song, and you may not like Prince (I certainly don't like some of the artists YOU like—-yes, I'm talking to YOU!) but where else are you going to hear this come up in a mix? I welcome it. Keep it up Bill.

LONG LIVE THE ECLECTIC.

Yeah, but no.
So this is what it sounds like when doves cry.

It was filler and certainly not one of his better efforts. The man can play, sing and has written some very good songs. Poor choice to represent him here.

Wow. I haven't heard this since........1990?

I appreciate the heck out of The Purple One, but this song just doesn't do it for me...
A 5 rating? That's at least 4 too many.
If I never hear this again its okay with me.

So wait...becuase prince is black, we should like his music? I guess I don't see the logic. And Prince's "music" is a joke. I hate it. And that's not at all because he's black, it's because it sucks.
Hmmmm ... Prince? Yes. This track? No.
Whether you like his recorded music or not, I encourage you to see him live. His guitar playing can be a religous experience.
Horrible song.

He looks like a purple eggplant with hair and mascara.
I enjoyed Prince until the day that his bodyguard threatened physical violence upon my brother and I for looking in his general direction. This at a concert. Since then, he's a just a short conceited ass.
Prince, ANY Prince, makes me want to get my dirty freak on. Bring it, Bill!
Great song, play more Prince! Thanks!

This guy must live in the studio. I bet his tape archives wouldn't fit into a small country.

This post is hilarious if you read with an extra-sanctimonius head-voice of Peter Griffin from Family Guy. Then follow it up with one of his laughs.
Not His Royal Purpleness' finest moment.
PLEASE play "why you don't call me anymore"
A result search on Prince reveals woeful underepresentation. Many incredible songs in his catalogue. Uploaders, commence!! And again, this a great track.

i dunno. we seem to like tracy chapman and stevie wonder and satchmo a lot, for starters. you are wrong. rp isn't all about black artists, but black artists aren't ignored here at all. prince is a bad example, but there are a fair amount of black artists on RP who do get very solid ratings, thank you.

I'm just not a big fan of Prince - especially this song. Can you give some non-Prince examples of backlash against black artists?
Didn't like this song much either, when it came out (the scream at the end is nice) ;) Much better stuff available...
i love any and all Prince

...........PRINCE!!!.............. He- who- until- recently- had- no- name? I don't know how to feel right now.
Maybe if some older classic PRINCE was played--the naysayers will get off of their high horses and bring something POSITIVE to the table....

Funny. When he sings "love comes quick..." it sounds like a rip-off of "say, say, say", you know that Paul McCartney song. Anyone else noticed this?
It's called a triplet.
\:D/
Hmmm. When this came on, I thought it was some kind of boy-band thing going on... some horrific Justin Timberlake detritus. Alas, no, it's Prince. A dude who's music peaked way before Purple Rain. Controversy, anyone? Anyway, bleh on this.

Ouch...can't believe a 4.7 for this...gave it an 8...do you poeple like anything? :)
I'd bet lots of low votes came because it was Prince --- nothing to do with the song.
An alright-song forever marred by the memory of seeing him in those ass chaps in the song's video. :verysorry:

Exactly. I always thought this was a diamond. Spare and minus pretentiousness, a crime of which Prince is occasionally guilty. Great track.
Please hit the rating on this to consign it to trash. . . it will like it there. :)
Not bad for pop. Still sucks.

Not his best, but hey! It's Prince, so it's worth at least an 8.
this one and "Elephants & Flowers" make the album. fantastic.
Prince 4-ever.
Prince makes my banana feel funny, is that wrong??

Nope! They sure don't! I gave it a 7! Prince is pretty cool, IMO. 8)

I've been thinking about trying it as an upload. I asume that the FCC's language list doesn't apply to 'net radio. I mainly want to try it because, the chorus aside it really is a great song. Huge, huge Ellington influence in the arangement.

Okay, I\'ll admit it, I do love this man\'s music... at least a LARGE portion of it. There, I feel better now that I told you all. ;)

Yep, until he became a Jehovah's Witness.

I think there is a joke there somewhere! Something about levels and strip shows!!!

I\'m not particularly a Prince fan but I really enjoy this song. Sue me!

I'm fairly certain that anyone who lists them as a band is in their 30's or 40's, and has long since forgotten that JatP were cartoons. I don't universally love Prince, but having seen him live, I recognize his incredible talent as a musician. And having bought Sign of the Times, I recognize brilliance, and that, IMO, is one of the best albums of the 80's. Kevin
This is why I love RP. You never know what is going to get air time. The style is in the mix. Somehow even Prince makes sense. :)
I give it a 6. I really don\'t like Prince at all (especially since he keeps changing name), but diversity is what this site is all about, and that song wasn\'t too bad.
Nice. \"disturbing\" perhaps but very talented.

I can't believe all of the negative comments. Sometimes I wonder if people don't just rush to judgement because of their own preconceived thoughts or maybe they're influenced by what everyone else is saying. Take another listen. There is no one in music today that touches the genius and talent that is Prince. No one.
Absolutely horrible, I can\'t believe I\'m hearing this on Radio Paradise
We need to get some Sign O\' the Times uploaded.
I don\'t want to hear another song by Princess for as long as I live.
