Ah! Ya too rude
Oh what a rat race
Oh what a rat race
This is the rat race

Some a lawful, some a bastard
Some a jacket
Oh what a rat race, rat race

Some a gorgan, some a hooligan
Some a guine-gog
In this rat race. Yeah!
Rat race
I'm singing
When the cats away
The mice will play
Political violence fill ya city
Yea-ah!
Don't involve Rasta in your say say
Rasta don't work for no C.I.A
Rat race, rat race, rat race

When you think its peace and safety
A sudden destruction
Collective security for surety
Yeah!
Don't forget your history
Know your destiny
In the abundance of water
The fool is thirsty
Rat race, rat race, rat race

Oh it's a disgrace to see the
Human-race in a rat race, rat race
You got the horse race
You got the dog race
You got the human-race
But this is a rat race, rat race

I'm 20 years old. First duty station is in California. Aloysius Barkley is my new best friend. From the Island. Small man. Gigantic warm smile. Thick warm accent. Does not partake of the ganj. Turned me on to some tasty sounds though. 1975.

I was thinking the opposite:  reasonable tolerance for reggae, but this one's sort of pushing the limits.

Make sure you go see the new 'Marley' film.... great picture of a complex man, certainly no saint (eleven children by seven different women) but a great human.
Even if you win the rat race... you're still a rat.

As a Marley Fan , i love this! It reminds me of summer, sun and good times! The rastaman vibration is not always like that!
By the way, a perfekt song!

Roger and Bob, boy how they seemed to talk the same language....
Respectfully, shut up, Bobby boy.
Mmmmmmmmmmmute.

Be quick about it when this one is over.

Wow.  A more egotistical and false statement can seldomn be read.  Messiah-complex much?

How slow relaxing should be-with a strong beat. 9

How not to approach life.

all is irie, bob...ain't no sunshine when you're gone...rock on!!!
Bob no dead. Bob Jah! BTW - If you get a chance, visit his mausoleum in Nine Mile. Way cool. Just make sure the hustlers "watch" your car, not "wash" your car. It'll cost you $100J otherwise.
A masterclass!
Nothing less than the highscore for Bob! Giving me the right feeling for the Biergarten this evening after having left the office.
Perfect Monday song.

Not in the slightest. While he trolls like a pro, he almost never attacks anyone on a personal level. Huge difference, unless your so irrationally tied into your tunes that you're hurt and offended when somebody bashes your favorite music.

Personally, I was thinking there's nothing better than the Mute button in the middle of a Bob Marley song. ;) I guess one of the great things about RP is that if one hears a song they don't like, they are sure to hear something they do like in a few minutes.

if hating this is wrong, then i don't wanna be right.

You've made that quite clear on several Marley and reggae song comment pages. You really should learn to spell the word however. It's R-E-G-G-A-E. :)
