I think some people have a misconception of how the rating system works.  You can respect who Joe Higgs was and what he did for reggae music and music in general and still think this song is mediocre.  Those are 2 completely separate things.  We aren't rating Joe Higgs, we're rating this song.  Personally, I think 6 is about right.  Joe Higgs the artist might be an 8, but I have nowhere to rate that.

Bodhisattva!
Come on, man. The Artist deserves better than a 6.

I really love this song.  A perfect reggae tune. I was shocked to see it have the lowest rating I've seen for a song in a long time.  I guess people might give it a low rating if it's 'not for them' .  But c'mon - if it was Paul Simon affecting reggae, it would be a 7...
Jah bless, give thanks, one world one love, chaaa
This is awesome! How can anyone not like this wonderful ditty. . .

. . . oh, all those who have a problem with reggae for some strange reason. . .

. . . sigh. . .
Pass the ganja... :P 8

I kind of like that song also (as far as theme songs for kids' shows go).  I assume you have a young child as I do.  I mean, you don't actually watch "Arthur" by yourself, do you?  Anyhow, this is a good tune as well.

There are so many times -- like now, for instance (listening to Alpinestars) -- where I'm simply at a loss to express how marvelously these playlists are assembled. Thank you very much Bill & Rebecca.
Sounds a little like Quito Rhymer from Tortola. He has his own bar/restaurant and plays there twice a week down in Cane Garden Bay. He has released several albums. I would upload some of his songs, but I can't figure out how to get the website to accept them! (Something about not in MP3 format, although I know they are....)
Nice regga grove.
ok
solid, low-key song from a good album. The Putumayo series is worth checking out. got me head bumping in the cubicle!
