Satellites contain us
Traffic lights control us
Rockets shoot us up into the stars
Rockets shoot us up into the stars

Letters keep us posted
Numbers calculated
Nothing picks us up when we are down
Nothing picks us up when we are down

Complement the atmosphere
Fill the ground with all our tears
Dry them up to make it clear
We do no wrong
Complement the atmosphere
Fill the ground with all our tears
Dry them up to make it clear
We do no wrong

Strange surrounds each corner
Stains pollute the water
Something for us all to think about
Something for us all to think about

Summer sun protects us
Winter rains torment us
Now it seems to me we can't be free
Now it seems to me we can't be free

Close the door before it's late
We were born to love and hate
Turn it down for our own sake
We do no wrong
You fill your ears with every note
Direction seems the only hope
Its crowded, let's create now
We do no wrong

Common sense protects us
Everything affects us
To the outside light it's paradise
To the outside light it's paradise

Wow!  I didn't know Penzance was a real place!  Do they have pirates there?  I shall go fortwith!
So pleased Radio Paradise plays these guys. One of Cornwall's finest!

Real eclectic song!!!
Isn't this more than a bit like Nick Cave's song?
Until the vocals come in, I always think this Porcupine Tree.
As this song starts with just the sort of simple piano arpeggio I really dislike, I am about to hit PSD.  Then the arpeggio is masked a little and the vocals make it enough to not hit PSD, but still nothing special.  Then the chorus kicks in - wow - now that *is* enough to keep me listening, it's a great hook and a powerful arrangement.
A 7 from the Derbyshire Dales jury.
Terrible.
Yay! I had no idea there was Thirteen Senses on here. One of my favourite bands!  Please play more from their album Crystal Sounds!
my goodness this is good ..
I can dig it!  Can y'all dig it?
I like it!
Nice but wish they pushed the vocals more to the front.
This always catches me by its familiarity and newness; the mark, I think, of a timely, talented composition. I dig how it bloody well jams
"Common sense protects us
Everything affects us
To the outside light it's paradise
To the outside light it's paradise"

The inside light is paradise ...  {#Sunny}

That would be the Muslim Brotherhood primarily in terms of shear numbers of followers and geographic coverage — all countries in N. Africa and extending into the Arabian Peninsula and beyond have large and active MB populations.  In fact, the PLO was directly sponsored by the MB, and Hamas is believed to have a strong relationship with Palestinian Muslim Brothers.  Believe it or not, Hitler made arrangements w/ the MB, and various Muslim groups throughout N. Africa, the Balkans, and into the Near East in order to assure a virulent anti-Jewish land bridge to the Gulf and Mid-East oil, as well as complete encirclement of the Mediterranean — N. Africa was an essential component of his Third Reich due to the critical role energy played in his dreams of world domination.

To this day, close scrutiny of the MB's transnational agendas reveals heavy-handed, top-down, anti-Israeli, retrograde Islamist dogma that notably isn't so different from the likes of Egypt's military juntas except for the anti-Israeli retrograde Islamism.  A broader search for Islamo-fascists touches Saudi Arabi, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the UAE amongst others — they sport "governments" and petro industries that exist to marshal resources (labor and oil) for the sole benefit of a handful of sheiks and princes — this side of the coin was/is allied w/ the British & Americans (Aramco) during the war.  Prescott Bush, father of George HW Bush, was at the top of the OSS (predecessor to the CIA) at this time as well as being the president of an international bank (name escapes me at this time) that directly loaned money to the Nazis and financed said Allied leaning oil sheiks.  That oil relationship continued w/ GW Bush (hello Kuwait) and remains today.  That is modern Islamo-fascism in a nutshell — it started after WWI and today is much closer to home than many realize.

Saudi Arabi is the official custodian of the Islamic faith, and for reasons of expediency, they relied upon the Wahabis to prop them up during the war.  The House of Saud has been unsuccessful in bottling up the Wahabis' extreme brand of Islamism.  The 9-11 terrorists were primarily Saudis, and all were disciples of Wahabism.  That hyper conservative, retrograde view of Islam has now spread to Al Qaeda, and we know the current sadness that includes ISIL, which may not be overtly fascistic, yet is keenly aware of and fond of petro-dollars.  Ain't Islamo-fascism great?
Familiar chord progression - Is this Kent's song in English?

That chorus:

Complement the atmosphere
Fill the ground with all our tears
Dry them up to make it clear
We do no wrong

Complement the atmosphere
Fill the ground with all our tears
Dry them up to make it clear
We do no wrong

Sounds a whole lot like the melody on George Michael's "Careless Whisper":

I'm never going to dance again
These guilty feet have got no rhythm
Though it's easy to pretend
I know you're not a fool

I should have known better than to cheat a friend
A wasted chance that I've been given
So I'm never going to dance again...
The way I danced with you

I like this band, I have no idea who they are but I must like them because I have them in my library!{#Lol}

Love this song! {#Umbrella}

nice!

First post in over a year.
This band is 2 for 2 so far with tunes I've heard from them. Really liking this.
God, please save us from the whiny-voiced profoundo-wannabes.

"insta-sorryed"? That's a new verb on me, though I think I've got the meaning and it's a nice contraction. Another neologism for our fast-moving Internet lingo :o)

He's in tune and reaches the high notes, so I reckon he can sing, and it's definitely a Coldplay-esque sound (I've just been listening to some CP on iTunes and thought this was CP at first). No' bad - 7 from the Nottingham jury.

Hey, what a nice song!! Never heared this before!
Haunting piano melody.

Hmmm. . . how do we know that Coldplay didn't steal their chops from Thirteen Senses?

A most excellent track, like *some* of Coldplay's! (no more, no less)

I like the composition, just not the production. Wish the nice piano motif hadn't been spoiled by the predictable Creed-like steady bass/drum arrangement. It was almost original sounding. I think they might mature lyrically -- not so melodramatically negative (always a mark of young writers.)

I better listen to the LRC!
That wasn't my first impression. Maybe you should stop listening to Coldplay! It seems they've ruined your listening ear. I thought it might be Mew -- but RP's not cool enough to plat that.

Thats Funny!
Sandler singing about Hanukkah is what comes to my silly mind.
Actually, I don't hate Coldplay. They're OK, just not brilliant. I'd rather hear them than a lot of stuff plugged by the popular media.
Hmmm...another Death Cab bound for oblivion...

Some times that is true but in this case absolutely not. Coldplay easily makes my list of vastly overrated bands. Careful not to like a band BECAUSE they're popular or hyped as well. That's the other side of that coin. Oh and Coldplay? What a stupid and unimaginative name for a band. Sometimes the name of the band suits the music.

That pretty much covers it for me.
Sure these guys sound like lotsa people ... Snow Patrol, Travis, Coldplay ... mmm ... but they have their own groove too. If I had to disregard every group that sounded like they were influenced by someone else, I'd probably have a pretty slim repetoire of music. I likey
this is sonic tofu
Coldplay once more????????? Please stop it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually, the opening kind of reminds me of Philip Glass...
Coldplay, maybe. But I wonder if they didn't listen to a little Alan Parsons Project growing up. Not bad, IMO.
Quite likeable!
*yawn* dull, lifeless piano sequence... clunky and unimaginative... the rest of the song isn't so bad tho...
After getting used to Into the Fire on here, this song almost leaves me looking for some sort of resolution. Sounds a lot like it but doesn't have the same climaxes that the other does. It works though, especially when it's followed by Karma Police. ^_^

Diggin' this. I dig Kent too, so I guess that all sort of makes sense. Only this makes more sense because it's in English ;-)

I guess I'm out of it. I just don't get the appeal. It's sophmoric. I'll give it that ...
Bought the album (yes, import only) two weeks ago after hearing it on RP. Wasn't disappointed. Very listenable and catchy.
Never heard of this band before bit they sound good! Hope this isnt a one-off ditty though. Very British feel to it.
Coppertop wrote:

I definitely agree here. They were the first band I thought of when this came on. Likeable ditty.
Think they are British. They have another song on RP rotation, "Into the Fire" or something like that. (It's being used on the commercials to the new Dennis Leary show on FX). I believe the album is import only at this point, but I could be wrong.
You are correct on both points.
