Restless sinner rest in sin
He's got no face to hold him in
He fills his days as dark as night
He's been waiting with the blind
Just to find a place to hide his ghost

Unopened eyes, no consequence
The door's been closed since he's walked in
The fight's been raging so many days
He'll greet you with a cross and a sickle
As he helps you in

You fall in waste, an open fire
You've got no taste for his desire
He brings you in to warm your bones
He's the reason why you came
And the reason why you ought to go

Fool's gonna fall and raise
Another fallen child
Fool's gonna fall and raise
Another fallen child
Fool's gonna fall and raise
Another fallen child

It can't be known what lies in wait
For those of us in crippled states
A broken mind is no escape
When there's no one left to reason with
There's no one left to call your name

Fool's gonna fall and raise
Another fallen child
Fool's gonna fall and raise
Another fallen child
Fool's gonna fall and raise
Another fallen child
Fool's gonna fall and raise
Another fallen child
Fool's gonna fall and raise
Another fallen child
Fool's gonna fall and raise
Another fallen child
Fool's gonna fall and raise
Another fallen child

Sounds like Blitzen Trapper to me.

Would that be in the verbiage of.... "Can I " axe" you a question?" Lol

Discussion on whether the Italian Lira should join most other European currencies and become the Euro?

No. Not IMO. But I do believe this is the only song of theirs I like.

The terrific song set continues; amazing RP. It does make me think about the past for some reason, probably due to the music mix and the way it's done; only on RP. I wish I could get that long-lost love out of my head. I feel like getting high.

Absolutely brilliant.
{#Fire}... top band, top song & top album.

That is spot on, and a 'sipping liquor' (as I believe youse across the Pond call it) at that. I can see BRMC as a well-aged malt whiskey, full-bodied with sweet notes, perhaps a Bunnahabhainn or a Macallan. Yummy {#Cheers}
Ditto

Never heard of these guys until now. This is why I listen to RP and send a modest donation once and while: great place to hear new (to me, anyway) music.

This tune tells me that blues seems to be everywhere... I like the groove and harmonies on this tune.

Not the best song from the album, but good none-the-less!
Means that they play the guitar very good

I like them better when they don't try to do this kind of style...

good one

At the risk of sounding like an old fart, maybe this is why I don't get into too many of the new bands. I saw that "Hunger Strike" by Temple of the Dog has received many poor reviews. I'm not sure how anyone can take this warbling over Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder. These new singers just can't hold their own against the greats from even 15 years ago.

I just have to ask, and I do realize that perhaps this is asked to the wrong people {#Crowded}, but does someone else hear alot of Nemesis Divina (Satyricon) in the guitar (esp. the intro in both songs)?

"Mums" as they say in Sweden; which means yum pretty much. nice song, nice sound, good for a modern cowboy riding on the range.
This is a wonderful track. Well constructed, well executed.
Jack Black described them years ago as sounding like 'A delicious Rock and Roll flavored liquor.'
I normally don't like their stuff, but this is nice.
Manchester via California is a good thing. These guys are one of the premier rock bands of our time, no?
Love the guitar, could listen to that for hours. Love the whole song. Good stuff.
i love these guys....its as if love & rockets were still making good music...or any music for that matter
Thought I was hearing Jerry Garcia....
I really dig this! One of their best tracks that I've heard.

Going to the concert tonight at the 40 Watt in Athens, GA. Small venue, should be a great show.
Saw them last Saturday night at a small venue. It was excellent. Have fun!

I like this song but I think this comment is very funny, too!
This band keeps evolving..making better music with every release

I like these guys, I got this album... But are they a christian rock band? I started to get that feeling ... research says no. donno.

This has soul missing so much music not just present but past as well. A modern treatment of a traditional style - open your ears all detractors!! great album that will (is)be a classic!!

Love this band. On three cd's haven't heard a bad song yet.
Singer sounds like the offspring of Jerry Garcia and Bob Dylan. And didn't Bobby's good, late friend, Allen Ginsberg, write a poem entitled Howl?
a deserved 8 to this song...i didn't like the album though, uncomparable with the 1st...
A good bluesy sounding album.

same here - waiting to rate it though...
The whole album is excellent. Stripped down, but powerful.
This cut is from an absolutely great album, that I picked up on a whim after seeing it mentioned on a number of "Best Of" lists for 2005. Didn't know anything about BRMC beforehand, but glad I found this. A real gem.
Just upped it from 6 to 7. It's growing on me.
I haven't heard HOWL or this song before, but am a fan of BRMC ... this song just solidifies my fandom. Yummmy ... what a voice, soooo moody, delicious!

Would pair up well with Sister Morphine from the Stones.
On Tour now, click the Pollstar link above...
Huh... interesting to see an album cover mimic a book cover.
Mmmmm-mmmm-mmmm-mmmmm. There is something about BRMC that I really enjoy.
I'll have to give this more time - following Alexi Murdoch's "Orange Sky" put this song at a big disadvantage. Stay tuned...
