This brings back memories of dark days in 2007 listening to XM Radio, with no variety.  I think this song was on four times a day and I quickly got tired of it, like most other stuff on satellite radio.  No variety and I ended up canceling.  In a couple of years I found Radio Paradise.  Massive, massive variety, and I rediscovered my love for music.  Thank you Bill!

Saw them in concert last summer. They gave away their new CD. Which is pretty good.

My ears could not hold up to the Venue and I forgot ear plugs.  So I did not enjoy the concert as much as the new album.

Submitted a good song from the new album and it did not make the cut.

A brilliant rock band - as good as any - ever.  yes that's a bold statement, but Jack White is a brilliant artist and an amazing songwriter and guitarist - HOWEVER - to these ears, he works better within a group setting - for his Jack-White-ness to have more room to disperse amongst four, I guess.  His uniqueness is sometimes his shortcoming - balanced with the playing and input of others it truly shines.

Can't go wrong with this kind of thing! Jack White is one of the best and most exciting dudes to pick up a guitar in a long, long while, and I love how he is slowly but surely becoming an ongoing influence I appreciate more and more, even though I also still cherish the memories of the raw power and playfulness I found in him (and myself upon hearing it) in his early stuff...Steady As She Goes, Jack! and right on, RP! I also always thought that Little Hurricane has shades of this tasty styling under the hood, which is a good thing.

How about The Storytellers? That's what les raconteurs is in French, I believe, though the French original probably has untranslatable subtleties. I wouldn't call that especially pompous. A bit rive gauche petit-bourgeois, perhaps... ;-)

The opening (lone bass comping the root chords followed by a guitar doing the same) is eerily similar to Don Dixon's "Praying Mantis." I haven't sat down with me axe to actually compare the chords. 'Twould be interesting.

I agree. I think that Jack White would sound better with a more dynamic drummer but it is sort of like Neil Young having Crazy Horse for his band. The Crazy Horse rhythm section is pretty poor also. Flame me! P.S. I like this song and this album a lot plus they have a really good drummer.

Their latest album is so much better. This is good but it is sorta like they are just feeling each other out on this one. The second album clearly shows them as a unit, more cohesive. Plus, the songs are just better, more rockin in that White Stripes way but more sophisticated and layered.

For a while I had no idea that this was Jack White. Interesting, I think I prefer this album to the White Stripes. The album is really good, but it is also pretty short (like 39 minutes or something near that).

Some chord progression as a Joe Jackson tune. Nothing new under the sun I guess...but I like what I have heard from this project so far.
