Don't know where you're going
Used to be a star
And everywhere you turn
They're raining on your fire
You're searching for an answer
Your hands and tongue are tied
And everything that you thought you knew
Is buried deep alive

You could take tomorrow
If you wanna
You should take tomorrow
But you gotta wanna

You think you've got it all
The writing is on the wall
You're praying to your Lord
Searching for your soul
Cause you just need to know
The emptiness will go
In a moment

I'm looking in the mirror
I'm talking to myself
Stare at my reflection
And I look like someone else
Ask myself a question
And I face another day
So I look myself out in the eyes
And I tell myself again

You could take tomorrow (all your life live in the moment x 2)
If you wanna (all your life live in the moment x 2)
You should take tomorrow (all your life live in the moment x 2)
But you gotta wanna (all your life live in the moment x 2)

You think you've got it all
The writing is on the wall
You're praying to your Lord
Searching for your soul
Cause you just need to know
The emptiness will go
In a moment

You think you're going to fall
Afraid you'll lose it all
You're praying to your God
Thanking for your love
And you just need to know
The hope is going to flow
In a moment

You think you've got it all
The writing is on the wall
You're praying to your Lord
Searching for your soul
Cause you just need to know
The emptiness will go
In a moment

You think you know it all
(Time is on your side)
Praying to your Lord
(Time will heal your mind)
Your think you're going to fall
(Then you'll learn to fly)

Time is on your side
Time will heal your mind
Then you'll learn to fly

every time i hear this, i like it even more!
Kind of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club-esque, in a good way. I'm diggin' it!

The last great tune they wedged into my head was Dakota...it is good to hear something nice and catchy — and this one's a bit edgy, isn't it?! — from them again!

Driving in the Tahoe from Yuma to Phoenix at dusk into night listening to Live at the Dakota, over and over and over again! That's America for me.

Never understood the interest in this band. I can't hear anything interesting in what they do. Still they've been long running successful, groaning away in their mediocrity.

Check out the "Performance and Cocktails" album. You may change your mind on this.
Love this and have since I originally heard it here on RP! Thanks Bill and Rebecca

Is this the first time you've found something liked by others that you don't like?

Think you're being too hard on the band. You may not care for the band or understand its appeal but a lot of people do.

Just being a working band for 28 years is an accomplishment.
As Boring as Moby can be.

No, not even close....Connected is on a different level.

They're certainly near each other in an alphabetic list.

But yes, I hear some definite similarities, although I think they're coming at it in completely different ways. Regardless, I like both songs.

I thought the same thing.

Same here!  7→8 which seems to be a common occurrence on this track recently... Long Live RP!!

Moby much?
Nice nosh after the flimsy first course that was Bat For Lashes.
yay, the real deal and not that obnoxious remix you have in rotation!
thank you Bill  {#Cheers}
Reminiscent of AudioSlave and Chris Cornell, both of whom I enjoy but, this tune just seems monotonous.

I never realized I had it until I wore earplugs for the first time to avoid noisy neighbors.  I suppose anyone who tries earplugs like that will hear the sounds of the inner ear they never realized they had before...I also see floaters (!).   For a few years I always had to have a fan on in the room for the tinnitus.  Now, I listen to music pretty much every waking hour, so I never hear it.  At night, sound soother......

I just went through a pretty severe bout of tinnitus too. It got so bad that I was being waken up at 2 or 3 am with the ringing. After some frantic research, I found a strong correlation between caffeine intake (mine was quite high and varied at the time of the bout). The advice I was given was stark:  eliminate all forms of caffeine and take gingko biloba which increases circulation. After taking the advice (with a few sips of green tea in there) and copious amounts of gingko for a few weeks,  I must say that after a few weeks it subsided to a point where I can say it was gone. If I start to drink coffee or other caffeinated items, I do notice the ringing again...

Yup, this is me.  I also use a fan (also for the air movement), and/or listen to music.  My tinnitus is pretty mild, fortunately.

Yeah, I've got tinnitis.  Unfortunately, by the time you get it, it's too late to do anything about it except protect your hearing so that it doesn't get worse.  Fortunately (for me, at least), I don't really notice it except when talking about it.

I attribute my tinnitis to a lifetime of loud cars, loud music and loud women.

We've been mired in mid-tempo here- not sure if that's the automation making that choice or a live DJ, but the last 5 songs have maintained this hum-drum vibe.  Getting boring...

Is this a pastiche of U2's Seconds, or is that just me?
Did they hire Thom Yorke for that droning, grating backing track? Dudes, you don't HAVE to sound like RadioHead.{#Wall}

Love this band since the local high school station played Smells Like Chaplin in 1999. The rrrrrrrock, mate.

Been a big fan of these guys for some years now, and this is the first I've heard of a new album..... Joygasm!!!

..on first listen i thought this would wear out pretty quick, but it seems different with each re-hearing..odd that & makes me press it 7 >> 8..(plus it's catchy as all get-out)..
