I'll wrap up my bones
And leave them
Out of this home
Out on the road

Two feet standing on a principle
Two hands longing for each others warmth
Cold smoke seeping out of colder throats
Darkness falling, leaves nowhere to go

It's spiralling down
Biting words like a wolf howling
Hate is spitting out each others mouths
But we're still sleeping like we're lovers

Still with feet touching
Still with eyes meeting
Still our hands match
Still with hearts beating
(3x)

Two feet standing on a principle
Two hands digging in each others wounds
Cold smoke seeping out of colder throats
Darkness falling, leaves nowhere to move

It's spiraling down
Biting words like a wolf howling
Hate is spitting out each others mouths
But we're still sleeping like we're lovers

Still with feet touching
Still with eyes meeting
Still our hands match
Still with hearts beating

Cold smoke seeping out of colder throats
Darkness falling, leaves nowhere to go

You go for boys, do ya, Stingray?

My understanding is that Rebecca is "the brains behing Paw"

consistent mood is a wonderful expression of happiness
If you like this sound, then the whole album is a strong recommendation. Great to have playing in the background. Lots of atmosphere and consistent mood.

Lots of consonants, really great effect. Plus the Irish accent that creeps in, the 'r's aren't rolled... Gee, brings shivers, doesn't it?

Not Florence, but STILL quite mesmerizing.

daughter-still

I've heard this quite a few times on RP and was completely under the impression it was Florence {#Think}
Cool... Someone new to look out for... Thanks guys.
I really like this.  It feels familiar but in a way I can't quite place.

Even though the girly-pausing-in-the-middle-of-the-note thing is a bit worn out and overly-embraced by virtually every new indie artist, it's still a pretty neat-sounding song.

Well said.
Seeing Daughter open for Ben Howard at Red Rocks could be one of the best shows EVER!!!
maybe haven't heard it for a while, or just "hits" the right mood for me today, but just went from 8 to 9 :)
love the rhythm

Similar if more subdued vocals, but I prefer this to F&TM; less bombastic.
Florence meets Trespassers William, maybe?
I've always been a sucker for "sad girl" music.  ; )

Ah but that Lady Florence....she certainly can bellow can't she?  {#Yell}

Another pathetic whining woman? Surprise surprise surprise RP?
Beginning to think this station is only geared for a woman's mid life crisis?

Your first sentence, even on the most surface unpacking, reveals an unpleasant level of sexism or maybe even misogyny. Were it to read:

"Another pathetic whining man?"

there'd be all sorts of ructions, and I dare say you'd be adding your 2 cents worth.

Bjork, Cat Power, Beth Orton, Florence? All wrong. I wouldn´t want you in my popquiz team.

Really, I thought this was Kate Smith or Ethel Merman.  Nice, spooky tune.
Bears an uncanny resemblance to the vocal and rhythmic style which Lorde used on her album.  Almost thinking that Lorde's producer may have used this song as a template.

or vise-a-verso

update:
"Lorde's debut EP, The Love Club, was originally posted on SoundCloud in November 2012"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorde

so it appears that Daughter's debut came half a year later.

hmmm

Billy and his girls!
Instrumentals remind me of Sigur Ros.
sounded like Anna Ternheim - someone else i heard for the first time here
creepy witch
Thought this was maybe something new from Bat for Lashes...  Nice voice, interesting music going on behind it...  Good stuff!

Her voice reminds me of Romy Madley Croft from The xx...

I didn't know they had new music! I must investigate...

Edit: Appears to be unreleased.
..i can dig it..may dip & rise (seems a mood-based tune to me) on repeated listens, but good for an 8 for starters..
