I had to look him up. Wow.
"According to lore, in an interview withRolling Stone magazine, Jimi Hendrix was asked, “How does it feel to be the greatest guitarist in the world?” He is believed to have answered, “I don’t know, go ask Rory Gallagher.”"

Third in a row live. Love these little treats. Will we get four?

Rory seems to be invisible on this station but I was lucky enough to see him 3 times in the metro Detroit area. He was auditioned for the Stones and but had little interest in joining per the stories I read...I'd also love to hear some Coco Montoya as time allows...

rory at the michigan palace!
GREAT!!! I never heard of him prior to RP, now, I love several of his tunes! Thank You RP!
He just flat out rips.

Holy smokes, this man can play!  How the hell do you get that good?

A lifetime of dedication though some seem to get good at a very young age. You've got to want to. I've known many people who "want" to learn to play the guitar, but for the wrong reasons, then give up very quickly when they find out it actually takes some work.

I don't understand how people get into relationships where you have opposite musical tastes. Ok, I did marry a woman who didn't like loud stuff much, but generally you go out together, see bands etc, and either want to see the same kind of thing or not. If not, run a mile.

Was surprised by this - whats up with that Bill?

For grandsons 6 & 9 - Sonny is among those to learn from, channel passion and vision for their musical voices. How cool to turn it up while dad's working upstairs? Privilege of being Poppy and not their father.

Thanks for the guitar fest, Bill.

 Well...........I know , I know . But I hear lonesome Dave.

Awesomeness!   What a great follow up to Nils Lofgren.  Sublime.
Badass without being over the top!

Perhaps you have the wrong wife !

[In a relationship some things are fundamental eg. food
Others a matter of taste eg. what is important

YMMV

I felt the same, but for New Orleans ; )

If you ever get a chance to see this guy, do it!

Yahoo!! I was lucky enough to catch the same set a couple of months later!
Hard to top these three guitar greats back to back!

Cranked to 10. That's about 2kW of Bryston power plus another 1.5kW or so from the Paradigm Servo 15 subwoofer. Sonny is ripping the paint from my walls!
This entire album is terrific.  It's hard to tell it's a 3-piece band.  "Congo Square"  - the last track on the album - is a fecking clinic.  {#Notworthy}
Tone to the bone!!{#Bananajam}
Technically competent.  Other than that, kinda boring.
wick-ed
Fantastic!
Eloquent.
that guy's good eh?!
FABULOUS !!!!
Wow.
Wish i could do that!
Awesome set!

The great guitar plays play list....  what a terrific way to start a rainy Saturday morning!
If this doesn't get your feet tapping, better check your pulse!...

Really strong.
