Down to the river to silence me,
love took me down to the river to silence me

My love took me down to the river to silence me,
And when he left I could not speak.
I lay on the ground I tried to scream,
But no sound did come out, I could only bleed blue.

I waited for him 'till the frost did come,
My skin it turned blue and my body was numb.
But my heart it burned out 'till it was no more,
Still I wait on the ground I don't know what for.

There, there is a heart in here.
Where, where is the heart in here?

This love's killing me but I want it to.
So long you're gone, just like I always knew.
But I'm still here waiting for you.
But I'm still here waiting for you.

My love took me down to the river to silence me.
And when he left I could not speak.
And what he said to me I can never say.
Because it's breaking my heart to this very day.

There, there is a heart in here.
Where, where is the heart in here?

This love's killing me but I want it to.
So long you're gone, just like I always knew.
But I'm still here waiting for you.
But I'm still here waiting for you.

Down to the river to silence me,
love took me down to the river to silence me,

There, there is a heart in here.
Where, where is the heart in here?

This love's killing me but I want it to.
So long you're gone, just like I always knew.
But I'm still here waiting for you.
But I'm still here waiting for you.

Here waiting for you.
Here waiting for you.

Absolutely fantastic!!! Great young band, love it and I bought the CD, really good too.
Thats not unpleasant, that's passion, you silly gooses!
Janis is doing summersaults in her grave
Just fantasic. They have more great stuff.
The only thing going through my mind is that Florence Welch could do this so much better.
Big fan of this Dublin band, sadly no more!Original music with a great blend of harmonies between Faye and Stevie.
Cover art reminds me of Joan Harris in Mad Men.  Good show.
Edgy, harsh, over boring vocals, but lacking the craft of rounded musicians

Yes, but you don't have to say anything.  Hers, on the other hand is quite nice.

What a strident, unpleasant voice.

She could sing "Joey" by Concrete Blonde. Voice seems identical.
Dublin Grammar ?
Hearing this for the first time, I thought "Does London Grammar have a new album?  They'd changed up the backing, but it just might be."

Odd that I've never heard of them before, and also odd that they never even charted in the UK.  A solid seven from me, maybe higher if I hear it more.
