Mr. Sandman
Bring me a dream
Make her the cutest that I've ever seen
Give her two lips like roses and clover
And tell her that her lonely nights are over
Sandman
I'm so alone
Don't have nobody to call my own
Please turn on your magic beam
Mr. Sandman
Bring me a dream

Mr. Sandman
Bring me a dream
Make her the cutest that I've ever seen
Give her the word that I'm not a rover
And tell her that her lonely nights are over
Oh Sandman
I'm so alone
Don't have nobody to call my own
So please turn on your magic beam
Mr. Sandman
Bring me a dream

Oh Sandman
Bring us a dream
Make her the cutest that I've ever seen
Give her two lips like roses and clover
And tell her that her lonely nights are over
Oh Sandman
I'm so alone
Don't have nobody to call my own
So please turn on your magic beam

Needs a chorus of creepy sounding zombie children in a minor key.
Mr. Sandworm
Bring me a dream
A thunder cloud o'r dry Arrakeen
Give us a Dune with fauna and flora
Ruled by a boy with a mystical aura

Sandworm
I'm so alone
The Baron took my duke and my home
Share. your. water with me
Mr. Sandworm
Bring me a dream

Mr. Sandworm
Bring us a dream
Galactic terror like we've never seen
Jihad among the planets and Houses
At whose command? The Desert Mouse's

Oh, Sandworm
I'm so alone
A thousand years, A worm on the throne
All the futures can be seen
Mr. Sandworm
Bring me a dream
Interesting cover! I can see this as a backing track for a Trailer or advert.
Creepiness reminds me of the version in 'Blue Velvet'

I like it.

Props for originality.  I can respect an artist that takes a classic like this and does something really different with it.  Kinda makes me wanna slit my wrists, though.

I thought I recognized it. Thanks!
EXCELLENT!!  I like it.  Thanx RP!
Hehe like this one. Kind of ties the Andrews Sisters to the Neil Gaiman version of "Mr. Sandman."  =  )

Loved it. Reminded me of the Mad World cover.
So much better than what’s been rattling around head for the last 60 years. Thank you SYML!

Really liking this.  Superior to the original  IMHO

Agree. It's weird and dark and sad as opposed to the original jolly sound.
remakes are lazy
Give her the word that I'm not a rover

I wonder if that sentence has ever been used outside of this song.
Really liking this.  Superior to the original  IMHO
Incredible cover.
This is perfect soundtrack material.
Sooo tired of negativity. Say something positive or keep it to yourself. There will be exceptions. Of course. Not shutting anyone up. But, hey, people. Keep it gentle!
just an awful take on a Standard

Personally, I dig the whole bright pop transformed into the darkest nightmare sort of turn...but it has been done...Disturbed did a great version of The Sound of Silence which is magical, and of course Gary Jules' Mad World...

Anyways, just sayin' I like this....

Agreed. This could be easily used for an episode of American Horror Story.
Reminiscent of Aqua Lung. Excellent
Good grief, this is awful.
One of the better covers I've heard.  Excellent reinterpretation.
Creepy. Just creepy. Totally ruins a beautiful song.
jfc, even the covers of happy songs on RP are minor key,  depressive dirges!  🤣
This reminds me a lot of U2s Love is Blindness. No need for another one. 😜
PSD!!!!!!
Gutsy attempt at covering a classic.

But it's super creepy.

No matter the version, this song always brings up "Back To The Future" for me... when Marty McFly finds himself back in the 50s Town Square.... and this song (among others) plays... but then distorts ever so slightly as the realization sinks in that Marty actually traveled back in time. (A near perfect film, btw!)
Horrible. Skip.

Definitely, I was just a little slower posting it :)

I mostly agree - however it doesn't sound that original to me, but quite resemblant to Love is Blindness by U2. Still nice enough for a 7.
U2 - Love is blindness

isn't it?
No, this is just crummy.
Lame.
So wonderful that this song hasn't been forgotten ....... written in 1954.  My parents loved it, brings back memories.
Plodding dirge. Meh.
Perfect for The Sandman comic novels Netflix adaptation.
They did successfully capture how this song should have been played.  The happy cheerful 1954 version just doesn't fit the lyrics.
