Love me two time, baby
Love me twice today
Love me two time, girl
I'm goin' away
Love me two time, girl
One for tomorrow
One just for today

Love me two times
I'm goin' away

Love me one time
Could not speak
Love me one time
Yeah, my knees gone weak
Love me two time, girl
Last me all through the week

Love me two times
I'm goin' away

Love me two times
I'm goin' away
Oh, yeah!

Love me one time
Could not speak
Love me one time, baby
Yeah, my knees gone weak
Love me two time, girl
Last me all through the week

Love me two times
I'm goin' away

Love me two time, babe
Love me twice today
Love me two time, babe
'Cause I'm goin' away

The majority of The Doors' singles do not resonate with me.

This song, however, for me KICKS ASS!

But in general, these guys were usually mediocre, and this is yet another example.

I like this tune but with the exception of a meter and a few rhymes here and there, the "poetry" in these lyrics is pretty juvenile.

I don't like the Doors either and the PSD button took me to my happy place.

Does anyone have any trivia facts about where the cover photo was shot?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strange_Days#Artwork

"Unlike all of the band's other studio albums made with Jim Morrison, the album cover of Strange Days does not feature a group shot of the band, due to Morrison's refusal to appear on the cover. Instead, Joel Brodsky decided to photograph a group of street performers in New York. The location of the photograph is at Sniffen Court, a residential alley off of East 36th Street between Lexington and Third Avenue in Manhattan. The availability of such performers pictured was low, so Brodsky's assistant stood in as a juggler while a random cab driver was paid $5 to pose playing the trumpet. Twin dwarfs were hired, with one appearing on the front cover and one appearing on the back cover, which is the other half of the same photo on the front cover. However, a group shot of the band does appear on a poster in the background of both covers, bearing captions of the band and album name. (The same photograph previously appeared on the back cover of the band's debut album.) Because of the subtlety of the artist and album title, most record stores put stickers across the cover to help customers identify it more clearly."

This link leads to an article with a lot more detail and funny bits about trying to get that shot. Apparently the acrobats were awful and the juggler couldn't keep two balls in the air for very long. Brodsky probably needed a few drinks at the end of that day. The link is included in the Wikipedia article.

You mean that ancient toy instrument, used widely during the 18th century, the Harpsichord?

So I'm probably a freak or something but I hate The Doors. I'm gonna PSD, you all have a good time. I'll be back when it is over.

It's a little alley called Sniffen Court, in the Murray Hill section of Manhattan.  I worked near there years ago.  I believe it's private these days.
Looks like it was shot in the last episode of "The Prisoner". I'm only half joking.

Fondest of memories. I was 15 when I started to listen to the Doors in 1966.  I would go over to my friend's house and we would lay on the two beds in his room and listen to his older brother's Dooors albums over and over.  He is still my best friend even though we only cross paths sporadically and at improbable times.  Live hundreds of miles apart.  He went to Washington and Lee in VA, became a born again Christian, still is, and I'm a fallen catholic anarchist-agnostic, but we can still talk spirituality.  Rememberances of the Doors often come up.
I miss Jim Morrison.

Ha! 'Mope Rock'. A perfect description, thanks for that.
I love RP until he starts playing this and Simon and Garfunkel or the Beach Boys.  Stop it already!! This doesn't work here!
This is pretty much to my likings!

ARROW '07 Riders on the Storm by ~Merdahn
Cynthia Veekens   ©2007-2010 ~Merdahn

Non other than Robby Krieger (THE DOORS), guitarist of Riders on the Storm... A 'tribute'band to one of worlds greatest musicians/ poets (in my opinion) Jim Morrison and his band 'The Doors'

Robert Alan "Robby" Krieger (born January 8, 1946) is an American rockguitarist and songwriter. He was the guitarist in The Doors, and wrote some of the band's best known songs, including "Light My Fire," "Love Me Two Times," "Touch Me," and "Love Her Madly."

He is listed as number 91 on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time.

Yet another case of "you had to be there."  This was an amazing album and song.  Love it!

Jim Morrison was way too tortured a soul. For whatever reason, his music conjures up Apocalypse Now visions for me. Too dark. Too twisted. A person insanely over drugged and without regard for normal socialization. God rest your soul Jim, and time for us to move past this in the mortal world.
I guess some people are just that type of character. You can't simply dismiss them by having this sort of melancholic, dreamy style. I appreciate Jim for being authentic oh, so authentic. Most of his songs can't be toped in the Mope Rock genre. And Love Me Two Times is for sure included.

this sounds so much \"better\" when it follows X \"Burning House of Love\". Nice going, Bill.
