Hey, you're a blast from the past! Blasting the past to the present with a reply to 2008... Children have been born and learned to talk and moved to Alaska since that post

They did one of those performances a few years ago and then again last summer at a local club here.  Chris Stamey lives around here and I don't think Mitch Easter lives far from town.

It's fun to refresh the web page, so the names rearrange. Very egalitarian and sometimes helps see names you missed.

I plan to catch most of the ones I bolded, but I imagine it's a logic problem. Joe Jackson, Paul Weller, James McMurtry are on my must see list so far.

Try to see Jon Langford (Mekons). He's at Hatch Show Print this week; I'll bet he brings some prints to sell. Get me one.

We're still chugging away at the credit card debt... but the good news is that it went from threatening to drown us about 4 years ago to almost being paid off now... if we keep up the plan we've been doing, it will ALL be paid off in less than 24 more months. Still a ways to go, but the end is in sight. So we'd both feel pretty guilty for going on a trip, especially since we both got to go to Alaska last summer.
If another $800 falls into my lap between now and then, I know what I'm doing with it.

Hey, why not. I'm thinking I'd rather double our money and visit an island. a private one with a moat. only that'd mean doubling it two more times.

I have some cute pictures of your munchkins, on the hard drive that we decommissioned just about the time I got back from last summer's trip. I keep meaning to send them to you but then always forget. I just got the portable hard drive that I ordered today, though. So sometime soon I'm going to be doing some backup, and when I run across them, I'll send them to you. Sorry it's been so long! I'll bet I wouldn't recognize them. Stinky and I had a ball playing with them.

I understand. It was a total fluke that I was able to go. Sort of like Reinstock was, in fact. The possibility wasn't there until maybe a month before then ... hey!

yeah. I'm trying to talk my aunt into going. She can be dead wood as far as music goes but she still asks me what she should go see. She's sorta judgemental. Is he that guy that does that one song that I hate? I don't want to see that.

You just described my mom and sister.  My sister even majored in music, and she's a music snob.  It's frustrating.
