Thanks RP, another fine discovery.
1969! wow...did not know he went back that far. I remember Canyon, which was recorded in the Grand Canyon and a church...one of the first CD I heard.
Did not know he was from Altoona PA, which is not that far away from me.

Happy 80th birthday, Mr. Winter!
I will forever associate Paul Winter with the Vancouver music/drugs/social consciousness scene during this era: the launch of Greenpeace (the anti-nuclear test expedition under the banner of Don't Make a Wave Ctte.), the Jericho Beach Habitat conference in 1976, and all the other goings on along and beyond W. 4th Avenue in Kitsilano. It was years before I arrived on the west coast in the mid '80s but, shit, this was true butterfly-wings stuff, resonant then, resonant now, the ramifications of which are still being felt. Paul's horns and vocals are a cosmic summoning to a better world. Who could not be drawn to the siren's call, then or now?
oh well enough already —i shh and go shop —I hope you all have a fine weekend.

I,d give this a 7 or 8, if I could rate something. But that button isn't working.
I like this song and it's playing in my head quite often, for some reason.
Not sure why so many people gave it such a low rating

Oh yes. Although there are many songs of the era which strum the memory . . . somehow this one has a special haunting character that vibrates all the way from the back to the front of my head and down my spine.
Thank you RP for playing it today, 5-Mar-2020.
Play it dammit! This is a fine cut.
Plus it would transport me to another time and place...
PLAY IT! Please?
