You can dance, you can jive
Having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene
Diggin' the dancing queen
Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for a place to go
Where they play the right music, getting in the swing
You come to look for a king
Anybody could be that guy
Night is young and the music's high
With a bit of rock music, everything is fine
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance
You are the dancing queen
Young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing queen
Feel the beat from the tambourine, oh yeah
You can dance, you can jive
Having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene
Diggin' the dancing queen
You're a teaser, you turn 'em on
Leave 'em burning and then you're gone
Looking out for another, anyone will do
You're in the mood for a dance, for a dance, for a dance
And when you get the chance
You are the dancing queen
Young and sweet, only seventeen

Not something I ever expected to hear on RP, but loving the fact that I am !!
Are you F'ing kidding me?? Oh, what the heck, it's a 7.
Love them or hate them (which it appears many RP listeners do) you have to admire ABBA for holding the distinction of being the Number 1 money-generating industry of their home country, when they were at their peak.
Probably technically the finest song ABBA did, using the girls total dynamic range.
Possibly not typical Radio Paradise music, but maintains the eclectic style of the station.

Pure AM radio pop, but these people sure write catchy tunes
Certainly didn't expect to hear this! - I love the impromptu ...
This is a perfect Pop song. Those who hate on it are insecure in their "coolness" and "good taste" They also may not have ears to hear with.

Sending much love to all the Pride events around the world this month.
This very appropriate to play today for the Queen's 70th year Platinum Jubilee Celebration...but I do hope that after she passes we might consider following the US lead and retiring our Royals. Maybe some of their wealth can be redistributed as reparations to the nations and people we made it from

Wouldnt you be a musical troll if somebody hadnt already gotten to it first? I know I would be, but I wouldnt be so good at the mix.

Thank you Bill, for changing the album title.
Please forgive me for over-reacting.
Please also understand that I was not questioning your MUSICAL judgment. Your musical judgment is why I come here, and I am not worthy to question that. Whether I like a particular song or not, the blend of music that you create here is the most sophisticated, eclectic mix of music that I have ever or perhaps will ever hear.

Shame, shame. I thought this sort of sophmoric play on the band name would be below them. I guess not. I always thought the music was held above all else here. Guess not.

Aw man - I missed the cheese and whine party!

Is it safe to comment now? The joke with the album name was priceless. And we all know Bill likes to play things that are controversial in one way or another...this one may take the cake as far as ratings go (unreal reverse bell curve from 1 to 9). I for one am a secret closet ABBA freak, so it suits me fine that this gets played sparingly and irks a good percentage of you. Well done!

Screwing with the album title to make your political views known??
UNACCEPTABLE.
Or perhaps to make political ignorance known? The 22nd amendment says Bush can't be president again.
this is a fantastic song from a band who had made history in music.

I guess one man's eclectic is somebody else's trash... but to me, this just smells like garbage.
its a bad bad song. more than 50 coments in 3 minutes. wow

I rated it a 1. I momentarily hesitated -- is it really that bad, or do I just hate it? -- but then I went ahead, not only to express my dislike but also to stress my profound desire to never, ever, ever hear this song on RP again.
geeezzzz...lighten up people!

Ah yes, Muriel's Wedding for sure. This is one of those earworm songs that I can't get out of my head once I hear it.
I always think of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, a much better memory.
Anyone But Bush Again lol!!! Hysterical, and so appropriate right now.
Can we make this the last time this POS is played?
I'm not one to complain much (at least not on RP), but... PLEASE NEVER PLAY THIS AGAIN. thank-you
Wow Bill. You've got:

ahaha nice album name.

Fun! A very nice change-up!
check out the spread on the ratings. priceless. which way will it tip.
I certainly could have done without this one.
Edit: But I suppose getting in the jab, which was the obvious point I missed at first, made it worth while.
Feel the beat from the tambourine ... OH Yeah!!
If a Barry Manilow song comes up next I'm slitting my wrists...
Hafta admit, I'm kinda glad to get the "Image Not Availble" box instead of the album cover...

Sorry but i dont think thats a good choice.

Check the cam, maybe he is dancing!
As dionysius will attest, I'm not a fan of ABBA - however, I'll let this one go, as I love the idea that Dancing Queen followed The Kinks' Victoria...
Really, there's an album out there called Anybody But Bush Again? That's cool. :)
The Spanish version would be an 8.
What the????
Posting my required comment.
while i am inexpressibly excited to hear ABBA here, i kind of wish it weren't their most overplayed song. they've got so many excellent songs people don't associate with weddings and bat mitzvahs -- couldn't we hear something a bit more obscure?
Uh-oh!
First time I heard THIS here!
Ha! Love it!
WTF?!!!!

really...my wife freaks out everytime she hears this song for some reason. To me this defines 70's cheese rock to a T. I could live without it personally.
I don't care how wrong it is . . . I LOVE this song. Love it love it love it!
Ok, ya made me look with this one...but OK Abba's fun.
WTF, why NOT?
Bill have you gone insane?
NOOOOOO!!!!!!!
I was here. 8-)
Always will be a guilty pleasure.
Sweet Lord, this makes my blood hurt.
ummmm. speechless.
Ahhh, jeez!
Now what the hell could I have possibly been doing on May 11 that was important enough to keep me from catching this RP explosion?
Hey Bill, have you been reading the xpn boards?
And to you juanita, check out the reaction, you wanker. Properly selected, well placed cheese is always a treat. 9 out of 10 mice agree.
Mmmmm, cheese.
ABBA ? OK But don't overdo it, or I will have to go back to Kiss FM

Hey, Beavis and Butthead's favorite song used to be Jive Talking by the BeeGees.
Isn't the change to hear songs every once in awhile that you might not listen to otherwise one of the big draws of Radio Paradise. I have to admit that I've always like this song along with a few other of the disco classics, so I can't get upset at Bill for playing it.
I'd rather hear this song than anything by the Gorillaz or Bjork, but I know there's lots of people who really enjoy those other artists, so it all evens out in the end.

Yes, that does put it in perspective. Still not an Abba fan, but I have to agree with you.
How 'bout Stones-Dance Pt1?
Why not put on some Milli Vanilli for good measure!

Of course, it is RP. Before this one you heard Khachaturian's Sabre Dance today. This can only happen on RP. And I think this was a great choice by Bill to put these two together.

I agree with you 1000% .... isn't that why we listen to RP instead of some AOR station or some other < fill in the blank >-formatted radio station, either terrestrial (FM) or extraterrestrial (Sirius) ?
Can't remember the last time I heard this - and that was just fine. Probably could have gone another 10 or 12 years.......

Everyone! Get out on to your imaginary dance floors and twirl around in a blissful, quaalude-induced manner!! *You* are the Dancing Queen!
Truly beautiful poetic artistry. Stunningly magnificent

I seriously thought someone had hijacked my radio stream. Bill, I'll give you one thing, you surprised me with this one.
I've never seen so many responses to one play of a song OR this many votes at a time EVER!! This really pulls people out of bed to vote, I guess.
The album is called Anyone But Bush Again? It gets an extra point for that.

AWESOME
Memories: Sunken living room, orange shag carpet, Lori Gibson, Strawberry Lip Gloss, 1st kiss!
An age-old classic, which will never age. It's everything Abba were about. Catchy dancefloor material that's sadly been overshadowed and disgraced by countless karaoke wannabes.
Sweet! I guess 3pm is too early to raid the beer in the fridge at work?
I won this album at a church dance when I was in Jr. High -- I had to name all 8 reindeer. Still have it!
hahahahahahaha Bill, are you trying to make the music elitists explode?
Please, some one kill me! Anything but this.
Not funny!
Hated this years ago and still hate it, yeech
You can't go lower than 1, huh? Damn.
Highly over-rated band in an era when there was much better music available.
AAaaaaaAAAAah! MY EARS! THEY'RE BLEEDING! And after Khachaturian, too! Gadzooks this is awful!
