A solid 10 in my book. This is an amazing composition and a faithful, respectful recreation. 
If you haven’t seen, “Swing Kids,” do so! This song makes me wished I’d learned those crazy dance moves! Wow! What a tune! Thanks, RP!!

Ooh, those horns! BLARP!BLARP! A proper full- bodied big band with all the instruments playing their parts with gusto. A sound which has almost died off live in these days of techno, though to his credit Jools Holland runs a big-ish band. 

Disclaimer: I played horn in school band, and though I was rubbish I loved the experience :)

IMO this was probably recorded just for the movie with the tempo to match the choreography.  This is a Jazz Standard so I imagine there are tons of recordings out there.

This is an excellent and heartfelt cover of a piece of musical history. Would I like Bill to also play the original? Absolutely! But this version is no reason to get into a snit over the lack.

Had to switch this one up to a 10.  The gods were definitely rocking out at Valhalla when they first put this one on.  Also, nice and faithful to the original but with all the advantages of modern recording, though the drums are not quite as rockin' as in the original.

I remember something of a debate with my college roommate about the longevity of music. We were listening to some Beethoven and he questioned whether anyone would still be listening to "today's" music in 100 years. I opined that people would still be listening to Beatles songs then, just the first thing that popped into my head. He snorted like it was the stupidest thing he'd ever heard.

It's a bet that can't be settled in our lifetimes, but I'm sure I'm right. That's the thing about music. There are infinite ways to put it together and there will always be timeless pieces being composed. They may not sound anything alike, but creativity certainly did not cease to exist with the onset of the 20th century, or the 21st.

They weren't dancing to this song; they were being chased around the ship by Nazis while a song very inspired by this one was playing in the background.  Mulder had gone through a time-warp in the Bermuda Triangle.

Worst part about a DCI show here in Normal, Illinois on the beautiful campus of Illinois State University: The competition was halted because of lightening. Sent the rest of the "shows" into stuffy old Horton Field House.

Best part:  Listening to the Blue Devils playing this in the cavernous gymnasium!
