Gimme some lovin' early in the morning
I just woke up with this appetite
Come on, gimme love in the morning light
Gimme some lovin' early in the morning
I just woke up with this appetite
Come on, gimme love in the morning light
Some people like it in the afternoon
I don't think that I can wait that soon
Come on, gimme love in the morning light
Some people likin' it late at night
I could wait that long but I don't think I might
Come on, gimme love in the morning light
I'm gonna love you soft and love you sweet
I could feel your heart beat
I need your attention to get me started right
I'm gonna wake you up with a kiss on the cheek
Come a little closer open up to me
Good morning babe Good mornin babe
Open your eyes just a little bit
Good morning sunshine I can't resist
Dreaming about you babe all through the night
I just woke up with this appetite
Come on, gimme love in the morning light
Gimme some lovin' early in the morning
I just woke up with this appetite
Come on, gimme love in the morning light
Some people like it in the afternoon

G. Love ❤️ 🎧 !
Ya know...for a few seconds...I thought I heard the beloved Mr. Prine
sheww! 3rd rate guitar work, at best. He needs a lot more support from the band because he just cant carry it alone. other than that, the phony, affected vocals and cliche lyrics (other than "couldn't wait that soon", that was a good line)...well, I guess I didn't like it.

I, too, thought that was who was singing. Certainly, in the style of.
this song kinda reminds me of Bruce Cockburn's "going to the country", i like this song a lot in other words.

You just gots to!

I hate songs with guitar (or some other instrument) coming through just the left or right channel. Makes me feel like I'm going deaf in the other ear (at least, when wearing headphones).
Yeah me too. I guess it's really only horrible when wearing headphones, but it makes it unlistenable at work.

But it's not a good song. It's an awful song - it's repetitive, it's wimpy and it's annoying. I change radio stations every time it comes on. The dubious lyrics of the song just make it worse.
How can you not love G. Love, and his special sauce?

Does that make me weird?
It makes me think you have a pretty small penis...

Haha...try actually BEING deaf in one ear! I have headphones on here at work and all I heard that entire song was vocals!

Now getting back to the music, good song!

They just followed up with Taj Mahal's Corinna. Love it!
Saw them open for Dave Matthews Band around 7 years ago. Hated them. Can't believe this is the same group - it's actually listenable.

I think there's a lot of pressure on women to acquiesce with the sexual demands of men, and that men take this for granted. As a man I've perpetrated this in the past, trying to convince my girlfriend to have sex with me even though she didn't want to. It took me a while to realize that it was disrespectful and wrong to do so.
Anyway, it's one of those things that I'm regretful about, so maybe I'm being over-sensitive about it. I do feel that it's a sexist behaviour that is perpetrated by a lot of men - without many of them even realizing it.

It's soft, and gentle, and it's obviously not for you.

I am a female and this song is tender, not sexist.

To make this song into something sexist is such a frickin stretch.

I get annoyed everytime I hear this sexist bullcrap. It's such a typical male thing to demand sex when and how they want it. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against morning sex - I've had some very sweet experiences with it; What bothers me is the the fact that this guy is basically demanding sex *now* from his partner regardless of whether they've even had a chance to wake up, let alone want to gratify his sexual desires.

g.love is great...!!!
Positively awful rendition of an otherwise nice song. Maybe he should practice before hitting the recording studio ....
If you can't be Bob Dylan you might as well sound like him.
Looking forward to G love and Jack Johnson.....gotta wait awhile though...all summer almost. Oh well...
Good Morning Indeed! Give me some G' Lovin!!

Saw the title and thought at first it might be a cover of the old Spencer Davis group song. Oh, well.
Love it. Nice vocals and guitar picking.
More g love please

Anybody who has seen him play will have no doubt have regarded his \'wobbly\' legs. . . apart from that nice choice Bill! :D
